Xylan stands 5'7" tall, weighs roughly 125-135 pounds, has a clean close cut hair style that's sandy blonde, he is slightly pale, he has small, round, light grey eyes, he has small lips that are almost never in a smile, and he's small enough to climb quickly.

Lower Extremities His feet are rather large in comparison to the rest of his body. Most would say he has clown feet. His toes are short, big, and round. His shoes are a pair of worn out sneakers with many holes in the soles of the shoes. His socks have as many holes as his shoes does. He has calluses on his feet from walking so much. His legs are short and slim. He has a little muscle on his legs from climbing trees and walking a lot, but nothing compared to the strongest people in district twelve. He's made fun of and called chicken legs all the time from many others. He has small bony knees. It makes him look strange when walking. He appears to be wobbling when he walks. His thighs are small and slightly built, but not enough to make a person care. He wears jeans that have holes in the knees, and ragged bottoms from being walked on so much. His clothes aren't kept the best, but he keeps them as clean as he can.

Torso His abdomen is skinny. He has no six pack or anything close to that. He's far away from even looking strong. His ribs can be counted from the years of being underfed. He looks like a twig that could be snapped in a simple attempt. His back bone is noticeable on his back side. One could almost count everyone of his vertebra. He's self-conscious about how his abdomen looks, so he's always wearing a shirt no matter what. He never wears tank tops or anything. He makes sure he's covered. If there's another thing he's self-conscious of, it's his chest. His sternum is easily noticeable sticking out a little bit. He doesn't have strong chest muscles. He appears to be just skin on top of the bone. He has a few chest hairs starting to form, but nothing to be proud of. He has a very pale chest as he never goes outside unless he has a shirt on.

Upper Extremities His hands are long and thin. The bones can be seen on the hands. One can easily count all the bones. The veins are easily noticeable as well. His finger nails are usually filthy and hardly ever taken care of. His wrists are bony with hardly no muscle at all. He has many thin scars on his hands from climbing. His arms are slightly muscular from climbing, but nothing he's proud of. His shoulders are in line with his legs. He has a slight tan on his arms from the short sleeve shirts he wears. His color bones are very very noticeable.

Neck and Head His neck is short and slim connecting to his somewhat round head. He has an adam's apple that he hates. He wishes it would go away. He wishes it never existed. He has average size ears. His hair is close cut and neatly styled around his head. Sandy blonde hair forms bangs that come down a few centimeters in front of his eyes.

Face His face is pale. He has some freckles on his face he hates. He has small, round, light grey eyes. He has slightly, brown, busy eyebrows. His cheeks turn red at the slightest embarrassing moment. His nose is in the center of his face. His nose is in good proportion with the rest of his face. It's not to large, not to small. His pink, tiny lips always form a straight face. He hardy ever smiles.

Personality

Xylan plans on seeking revenge on those who hurt him. He enjoys watching those who suffer for his sake. Someone with little knowledge of his life laughs at him as he's a nobody. He doesn't care to show people how he truly feels. He will put an end to it. He looks for ways to make people's lives a living hell. He will find a way to get back at those he hates.

On the inside Xylan is was a loyal person. He tried to help people, but he was never sure how. He wants people to treat him the way he treats them. It doesn't always happen though. He ~~never~~ judges a book by it's cover. He tried to get to know people before he judges them, but it always doesn't work that way. He is was very respectful to others although most don't respect him. He's a very quiet person and full of pain. A voice inside him wanting to escape, but it never can.

To his family His family finds him as a very loving person. He loves his family no matter what. His family can make fun of him and get away with it. His family finds him very protective. He doesn't allow his family to get hurt. If someone tries to hurt his family, he will do what he can to prevent it. He always puts his family first. He will go without something to make sure his family is always doing well. His family also finds him very trustworthy. He can be counted on to do what he's told to do without having to be told twice. He care for his family more than anyone would ever know especially his two younger sisters.

On the outside The people that don't know him often stay away from him. He ha a temper that builds up when people mess with people he cares about. One could almost see steam blowing from his ears when he's angry. He's somewhat aggressive. All the years of being made fun of turned him into a person he doesn't care to be. He wants to seek revenge on those who hurt him. He's done trying to be the nice guy. He's done pretending to care.

His friends He has no friends. The few people he considered his friends were only out to harm him. None are true friends. His friends found out who he really is. They wouldn't talk to him as he can't talk back to them. These so called friends are on his list of getting revenge on right away.

History

Long before he was born, his parents were teens. Darwin, his father, lived in the seam of district twelve. He never had enough to get buy. He spent a lot of his time digging through trashcans for food to eat. He hated the Capitol, but he never spoke of it. He didn't want to get his family in trouble. He didn't want to be the cause of his families death. Darwin went to school like the rest of the children. He never care for school. He always looked forward to the day he would never have to go back.

Daisy, his mother, lived in the merchant part of district twelve. Her family worked in the bakery. Daisy spent many days decorating cakes. She was never allowed to carry the flour or anything, but she was given the job of decorating. She enjoyed decorating. She became passionate in putting her thoughts into the designs she created. She was given permission to decorate any way she wanted. She attended the school and met Darwin. They fell in love and got married.

When Darwin, and Daisy were old enough they got married. Darwin started working in the coal mines. Daisy left her home in the merchant part of the district and went to the seam to live with Darwin. They gave birth to their first born son Nico. The family seemed happy together. Both agreed to wait to have another child. The money was scarce. Two years later they gave birth to their second son, Zion. They were at risk for starving to death, but they made it by. Many nights Darwin and Daisy would go without to make sure Nico and Zion were fed and taken care of.

Two years after the birth of Zion, the third born son Xylan was born. Xylan almost died after birth, but the local healers at the apothecary were able to save him. He's was born one month early. The healers didn't know what would happen to him, but he did know he might have some developmental problems. Nico being five years older than Xylan started helping out taking care of the family. Xylan required a lot of attention. Most of the time more attention than he was given. Zion would walk around crying because he wanted the attention his younger brother was getting.

A few years went by. Xylan's parents became worried because he never made a sound. He would cry silent tears all the time. Most people would be starting to talk now, but Xylan wasn't able too. He couldn't get peoples attention when he wanted to. He would walk up to his mother and tap her on the shoulder. She would look down at him waiting for him to say, but all he could do was point and move his arms. His parents took him back to the local healers to find out he would probably never talk. His parents decided it wasn't worth it right now. They wasn't going to give up hope.

Xylan would cry through the night constantly wondering why his parents never came. He never heard himself crying though. He wondered what it could mean. He was four years old. He remembered Zion talking when he was younger. It doesn't make sense to him. He shakes his head and slowly falls to sleep. He wakes up a few minutes later only to find out his mother as gave birth to his only sister Aster. She's almost five years younger than him. She was born three weeks before Xylan turned five.

Xylan started school like everyone else. He was asked to introduce himself to everyone, but he couldn't speak. He was laughed at and returned to his seat with the silent tears. He doesn't understand why others can talk, but he can't. His teacher told his parents. He was taken back to the apothecary. Shocking news was heard. He found out he would never talk. He was sad and humiliated at the news. He's told he can go to a place to learn how to communicate with others. His whole family is going to have to learn how to communicate with him. It's terrifying him to hear others talking, but to know a sound will never pass his lips makes him want to cry.

A few months later, he started learning how to communicate. He learned sign language from his father, but wasn't very good at it. His father made up the language. He would say what each sign meant and teach it to Xylan. Xylan learned that writing out his responses, and what he wanted to say was the best way to communicate. This way everyone would know what he was trying to say. Writing was a way for him to express himself. Most people would be making friends at school. He made a few, but never was invited to hang out with them. He was a freak. Not a single person wanted to be around him.

When Xylan turned eight his mother gave birth to another girl, Lavender. The attention turned away from the others in the family to Lavender. Xylan started making smaller portions of food for himself to give to the rest of his family. He knew it was the best thing to do as his family loves him no matter what. He was still the freak at school. He stopped caring though. He wiped his emotions clean and started plotting revenge on those who made fun of him.

Three years later, Xylan decided it would be fun to hurt people. He wanted to show people he was not a freak. He wanted to show people he had feelings despite being able to talk about them. He wanted people to know he was a person with a heart. He stopped caring about people. He wouldn't let anyone get close to him anymore. He blocked everything away.

Rocks became a weapon of choice for him. He would pack them in a small bag that was capable of being wrapped around his neck with a small sling. He would climb a tree and wait. He would watch for his so called friends to pass. He spent several hours a day waiting for the perfect time. He would know when the time was right to make his name known. He would make sure every person he encountered knew his name.

Anger started taking place of the hurt. People getting hurt would make him smile. He became a ruthless person. He became a person that nobody wanted to be around. People would run from him. He found that rocks can be used as a knife if needed. All he had to do was sharpen an end against another rock. Smiling he would walk away from everyone. He had changed.

He grew up in this shitty place, and now he's looking for an escape. He hates the Capitol, but he's safe as he can't say anything out loud. He can't make a sound. He's mute and will be mute for the rest of his life. His family became his everything. He always put his family before himself no matter what the cost is. The sweet little innocent boy, is no longer here. The little innocent boy has flown away forever.
