What is up with my coding?

i used to have this problem a lot, too.

i agree with dee that ordering does matter, i think, but even if it doesn't it can help you see that you have everything.

secondly, you don't need to do a [*/color][*color=hexcode] thing every time you switch from let's say narration color to speech color. really, just act like the color code is simply a bold or something. for example, say my normal text was white and my speech was aquamarine, i don't have to go

hello | "hi"

([*color=white]hello[*/color] [*color=aquamarine]"hi"[*/color])

what you can do, however, is hey guys | "hi!" | i say

([*color=white]hey guys [*color=aquamarine]"hi!"[*/color] i say[*/color])

that's what i started to do when i had this problem, and so far i've never been troubled by it. so basically, act like the speech/thoughts/emphasis/whatever is just bolded text~

I guess I'm just having trouble trying to imagine what the trouble is. Night, could you possibly post screenshots of what's going on along with the code that's been setting off this problem? (even if this is an alternating-posts type of thing, I'm still interested in seeing what's happening)

And Sarella, I'm pretty aware of the fact that order generally does not matter; my posts used to be a tags mess when I first experimented with tags. I am only suggesting a method of keeping tags in check (which can be useful when you use a lot of codes for a post).

Night, if all else fails, try with a different browser? Hopefully it won't come to that, but sometimes browsers act up (I had to use Firefox for a few weeks to access the embedded cbox, but now I can use it on Chrome just fine).
