Ness sat in the underbrush of a bush, waiting for Alena. At first, Ness had been extremely hesitant to venture out beyond District 12 and into the forest. After all, it was illegal, and could be punishable. But she so badly wanted to learn all Alena could teach her about herbs to that maybe, she would be able to help her mother. She hadn't been looking too good in the past week or so. The berries Alena had brought had helped her constant fever a bit, but it still wasn't enough, and Nessalyn couldn't bear watching her suffer any longer. Hopefully, Alena would be able to help.
