Anna had argued practically all morning with Gabriel in order to get him to go out with her. She knew that some fresh air would do him some good. For reasons she couldn't exactly be sure of Gabriel had been sulking lately. Oh, he always smiled when he knew Anna was around, and he almost always knew when Anna was around, but she could still tell when something was bothering him. After all, she was always watching Gabriel. If she had to guess what was wrong, though, she would say it probably had something to do with Lireal. It seemed that as close as the two were, they were constantly fighting. Either Lireal was being to clingy, or Gabriel was. They both depended on each other, whether they realized it or not. Even Anna could see that.

She looked down at Gabriel's feet. Their lack of shoes and socks had been the compromise to get him to come on the picnic with her. She was worried, though, that he would end up hurt because of it. The ground seemed like a death trap for feet. She was certain that their outing was going to end up cut short because of injury. Still, if that was what it took to get Gabriel to come outside with her, then then she would just have to deal with it. Besides, she'd brought a pair of shoes and socks for him for if he changed his mind. That, and the first aid kit that the scientists had given her. She'd packed them separate from the food, but they were still there in her basket. She smiled and laughed, lightly squeezing Gabriel's hand.

When he sighed though, she frowned in worry, turning to look at him. He quickly tried to comfort her, but Anna wasn't buying it. Not at all. "Hey. Hey Gabriel. What's been bugging you? Don't lie, okay? I know that something is bugging you. I'm not stupid. Did you fight with Lirie?" she asked, pulling him to a stop. "Will you tell me?"
