Drama in The apple orchards

I sit there, plucking at the apples, as they drop into the wooden bucket. Plop, plop, plop, plop. I am sure I am getting a sunburn, and that it must be at least eighty degrees out. Plop, plop, plop, plop, plop, plop. The tune is in this lazy orchard, the plopping, the humming of people, from the breathing person next to me, Mrs. Dee, a woman in her twenties who just had a baby six months ago, working at the orchards with passion. My bucket was full, so I put it on the ground, pulled my straw hat over my head and hopped back into the tree, where I plucked more apples. Plop, plop, plop, plop. The tempetures rising, I am sure. Plop, plop, plop. I think, hoping it's at least two thirty in the afternoon. Plop, plop. I stop for a second, now sweating hard, then hear my whisper coming through the meadow. Peacekeepers! I start picking rapidly. Plop, plop, plopplopplopplopploploplop.... Finally, the whisper stops as the peacekeeper walks by, and I return to my normal pace, even though, out of exhaustion, I fall out of the tree.
