Two people sat in the homey interview room of the radio station, side by side in separate chairs behind a table. One, a handsome man with spiky blonde hair, stubble, and blue eyes was absently tapping out a rhythm on the table top.
His companion, a slim, lovely woman with green eyes and her blonde hair tied up in a loose bun, was fidgeting and occasionally sneaking glances at the man, specifically his nails.
She'd painted them the previous night, while he was asleep, and convinced him that getting rid of the rainbow colors would seriously damage their relationship. It wouldn't. She just thought the colors were cute. She was mildly impressed by the fuss he made over it, and a bit amused by how easily he swallowed that using nail polish remover would destroy their marriage. Occasionally, she was a bit mean like that.
"I like your nails," she said slyly. "You should do mine sometime." Liam turned and stared at her levelly.
"I should write on your face when you fall asleep, Natalie," he said, but before he could say anything else, the door opened, and their interviewer walked in.
