Secret Swim at the River (open)

Despite her lack of conscious words and sight, there was touch. She could still feel the water as it was rushing by her, the cool sensation as the light wind licked at the wet exposed skin of her body. And hearing, she quickly noticed, was still available too. She could hear splashing. That was it, light splashing. Maybe it was some form of animal that lived way out here, coming to finish her off. Yes, she would deserve that by now, with her lack of selfpreservation, which had probably lead to her situation now.

But, infact, it was not. It was something else, something warm? She couldn't quite describe it for herself, but before she knew it, whatever it was was lifting her up out of the calm water and trugging her back up to the bank. A person. Yes, it had to be. But sudden panic interupted her joy. What if it was a Peacekeeper, doing his rounds or something like that around this area? She would be in trouble if her mother or her brother got word of this, she knew that for sure.

As she felt her limp body laid back down in more we dirt and mud, she almost felt like grumbling at the slight pain, but merely managed an almost unnoticable wince. A pressure came to her neck, and again it was that same warmth. Obviously, they, whoever they was, was trying to see if she was alright. Maybe a little sign of life, no matter how much she would have rather stayed quite.

Through closed lips, she gave a light, hoarse whimper. Yes. Surely that would be enough.

For a moment, they, whoever they may have been, gave no response to her small sign of life. Were they figuring out the situation, or were they deciding that maybe something had to be done. Something that would ultimately end in her not hearing, or muttering another sound.

As the worry spread through her, her thoughts always wondering to the worst possible outcome, she felt herself being moved again. Worst possible way to move, right now. Slowly, a hand moved her over onto her left shoulder, and despite the fact that he body was limp, she could feel it.

Oooooow.

Her face contorted slightly as she felt the welt, the bleeding going through her white shirt stretch at the skin, same on her neck. But at the same time, the new angel brought new weight and relief from her lungs. She felt a light cough come from her through, and a small bit of what that she had managed to breath in through her nose at the surprise if going under the water after slipping. She was actually rather surprised she remembered that.

Don't worry. I've got you The words were very clear in her ear, but highly unbelievable. No. No on had her. There was everything to worry about. Welcome to the world, where life sucks, and then you die.

But after a few more minutes, she found her eyes beginning to slide open. Just barely. It was hard to see, and it was still blurry, and all she could see was the buddy ground, and the knees of whoever was above her. She grumbled slightly under her breath. "Idiot..."

She strained for a moment to move her limbs, but came to no avail. Her eyes slowly continued to open, though against their will, and she finally managed to look at up at her 'Samaritan.' Her face stiff and emotionless as ever, looked away.

As if it was not bad enough that she was only half dressed, this boy had to see her in such a state as this as well. Injured, feeble, and unable to care for herself as she wished. She was just so exhausted, and her muscles just couldn't bring themselves to do what he mind asked.

Again, she managed to make her mouth move, in short barely coherent sentences. "No... hopsital." she said, her words coming out like when a child spoke with their mouth full, complete mush mouth. A shiver shot through her body suddenly, and it came through audibly in her breathing before she continued. "Bag... bandages..."

If only that made sense. She always kept a small case of gauze and bandages in her bag, which was just up on the rock she had been so geniusly jumping off of earlier. How long had it been, she wondered? She remembered the darkness, the cold feeling of being able to see nothing, to say nothing. But how long had that really lasted?

There was a slight pause after her statment, but after a short time, she heard the clattering of her few belongs falling out of the bag. Her clothes, which she had removed before actually jumping into the cool, refreshing rapids, a book or two, a few small coins of pocket change, and then finally the white caught her eye. It rolled for a moment before the boy grabbed it.

But one thing she really hadn't expected happened after that. She felt ther back of her shirt lifted off her wet skin. Wincing slightly at the sudden air that rushed too the cut that weaved along one side of her spin, she suddenly found herself having a strange burst of energy from it. Clenching her fists, she pushed her self up slightly, only to colapse back down. He continued pulling up her shirt, and for a moment she thought that was al her would, and then start his work, whatever that maybe had turned out to be. No. She felt the wet shirt graze her face as it was lifted off of her head.

She squealed slightly at this, sqeezing her eyes shut tight. Now she felt so violated. Sure maybe it was nessisary, but he could have at least asked her about it befor he had preformed such an action. Instinctively , she covered her chest and stomach, the cream fabric of her undergarment covering little more than a small part of her back and front.

But, despite he own embarassment in it, the action he was doing for her, his work of good will was a comfort. Not something he ran across often in DIstrict 10, sadly. She hated to have to say it, but she had to admit, she had not much choice. With the small amount of energy she had left, she lifted her hand to glance back over her shoulder. Her eyes trailed down to his hands, working carefully as he laide the knitted cotten over the oozing sores.

She pursed her dry lips with the tip of her tongue lightly before she spoke. "Um... th-thank you..." she muttered, her words ragged as her throat continued to try to clear of the water than had made her so hoarse after breathing it in.
