I always feel uneasy making my way towards the Victors' Village, and the broken part of the fence. From there, I shall enter the woods, to gather the precious herbs for one of my most potent creations. The Village is quiet, since all the previous Victors are mentors, and thus, at the Games. However, Peacekeeper security has been stepped up to balance this, in order to prevent break-ins. A little galling, but reasonable, I suppose. I creep behind a house to avoid the gaze of one, and sneak through a garden.

"Shit!" I cursed aloud. It was the third time I had cut myself with this knife trying to take up the herb. I had to be more subtle.

When I finally cut up the root , my hand was stained red from my own cuts and the herb looked to be pretty banged up too. The only reason I was out here was because I sort of had no friends here at all.I stood up and threw the herb into my game bag. I got up and was ready to leave when I heard a slite shuffling to my left. I drew my blunt knife and got ready for an attack.

I slipped through the bushes, and out through the fence's weak point, as per usual... Except this time, I found a knife pointed at my throat by a young man. He didn't seem to be a Peacekeeper, and might just have been some Wanderer I'd inadvertently disturbed. His hand was bleeding quite heavily. Perhaps he'd cut himself with that knife. My course of action was obvious.

"Friend, I mean you no harm... What happened to your hand? Perhaps I can help fix it, I'm somewhat of a medic."

"I kind of cut my hand trying to cut up a really tough herb" I said somewhat embaressed by my stupidity."Just give me a sec." I said. I turned around and threw my knife end over end Struck my target. "This will do for a while" I muttered . Being a runaway and all Im sort of short on food alot. I retrived my knife from the chicken. I cut off a leg and stuffed it greedily into my mouth.

I watch the scene below with interest. I don't suppose any of these people have come to watch me train. In fact, I hope they don't detect me up here. I'm supposed to be in school, but today it was just so nice out here I suppose I just walked right past the school building...

"Who stole my chicken?" I look on with interest as a third guy comes into the clearing by my tree and accuses the one biting into the raw chicken leg. What kind of person bites into raw chicken? A really hungry one, duh.
