The ruins are hot. That's for sure. I stand underneath a part of the roof that juts out, allowing a little bit of shade. Even if it is about ten or twenty degrees cooler here, it's still really, really warm. My thick, red hair is pulled up into a ponytail, a rare occurrence, but it keeps me from sweating on my neck and becoming a human sauna. Deciding to sit down for a moment, I allow myself to collapse on the ground and lean against the sturdy wall, resting my head against the cool brick for a few seconds. Meanwhile, I begin to think about this Defensive Commander Haven told me about.
He's supposedly incredibly talented, but I'll be the judge of that. I want to meet this guy first. What was his name again? Alex or something? Well, whatever it is, I'm hoping to charm him so that he'll listen to me - and only me - when it comes to both offensive and defensive action. Although I know we're supposed to be co-commanders, I prefer to be the one in charge. Looking at the position of the sun, I curse under my breath. He's a little late, and I'm baking out here. Where is he?
