The guy goes on and I sigh in relief. I really don't like people. Especially guys.

I start walking back to my apartment building absentmindedly. It's a semi-nice apartment building. Three stories high. The rooms are cheap only because their really small. I walk up to the second floor and take out my key from my pocket. My doors the last on the left.
When I get there I have a note on my door. The paper looks crumpled and yellowish.
It was probably up here since lunch or so. I thought tiredly.


Lalita
You have a new tenant in the apartment across from you.
His name is Nio Haze. We'd appreciate it if you didn't scare him off.


I ripped the note off the door and crumpled it up. Unlocking my door I pushed it open forcefully.

I hope I did scare him off.

I opened the door to my small living room. The walls were white and all along them were depressing horizons or pictures. Some had people wailing in terror or dead body's strewn across hills or plains.

Home sweet home.

I closed the door behind me and immediately fall on to the couch in my room. This apartment had a living room, a kitchen, one bathroom and an extra room. used the extra room for my office, and I, slept on the couch.

The living room had decks of cards spread all around it and a small TV in one of the corners. I flipped the on button on the remote and watched one of the Capitol people predict the weather. Which was...... SUNNY! Imagine that!

I swear I think the Capitol has a weather machine or something. It's always sunny. Sun, sun, sun. I hated it, nothing wrong with rain every once in a while.

I heard someone outside my door and realized it must be the new tenant.

I hauled myself up from the couch and opened my door.

I had just missed him and I immediately walked over to the door and knocked hard.
When the door opened I couldn't see the person's face and said, "Okay lets get this straight. You are in the room across from me. I'm not bringing you pie or any of that other neighbor-e stuff. You stay out of my way and I'll stay out of yours."

I took out a notebook: it was an electric blue colour with a huge bright green cat's eye in the center. I'd been given it when I was enroled at the Kitterwick Studios. I dug into my pocket for a pen and flipped the cover of the notebook over.
The journey will take half an hour. Is this ok? I wrote.
Lalita read it then nodded.
I will take you. Bring your equipment.
Lalita looked at me for a moment, then disappeared into the back room, returning with a pack of cards.
"This will do?"
I shrugged at her, I was no fashion designer. How would I know what inspiration Kit needed. She seemed to take my response as a yes and slipped the card pack into her pocket.

When we arrived at the studio, a guard put a hand out to stop us.
"This is a private building."
I held out my admittance card and the man narrowed his eyes. They switched from my face to the card, trying to find a difference between me and my photo. Clearly finding none, he reluctantly let us past and I led Lalita over to the receptionist.
Kit? Or Robin?
The lady pursed her lips at me and folded her arms.
"They're both in the dining room. Though why they would want to see an Avox I don't know."
Ignoring her, I checked to see that Lalita was following and opened a door into a corridor, the first door on the right revealed a small lightly furnished room with a long wooden table. Three people were eating a variety of dishes laid out for them. One of them, a young girl, stood and walked over. Her hair was extreme violet and she had neon pink eyelashes, this overall gave her a slightly frightening appearance. She held her small bony hand out.
"Lalita Pipper? My name is Robin Jinx, I am the personal assistant of Yard Yitterwick."
Lalita hesitatantly took Robin's hand and shook it.
"You look like, 12."
Robin's short smile hardened into a grimace and her grip tighteneed. I could see her nails digging into Lalita's skin.
"I am 11."She replied tightly, then her grip slackened and she gestured behind her.
"Take a seat."
She reclaimed her seat and Lalita sat down beside her, though didn't touch any of the food placed in front of her. As she did, the two guys turned to her.
"Call me Kit, though my official name is Yard Kitterwick. Thank you for coming. I am pleased you obliged to help." He smiled ruefully, almost as if he was embaressed that Lalita had to go to all the trouble of making her way here. His smile changed into a bashful grin and his wide eyes looked imploringly at Lalita.
"I'm afraid you have arrived just as my break has started. Perhaps you can enjoy our meal with us. This is Rufus."
The man beside him was incredibly peculiar. Pure white hair stuck out in spikes all over his head and his genuine, but permanant plastic smile was embedded with diamonds. Kit was slightly more normal looking, though his gold dusted skin was a little out of place. Of all the Capitol, Kit was probably the only person I actually liked besides Caeser Flickerman.

Taking a sip of his coffee, Nio took out his laptop and started taking notes. Today, unlike most days, was sunny. The sun was almost, well, blinding.

It was in the afternoon and he wasn't doing much in his free day. He quickly finished his coffee and packed up his stuff.

"Shopping..." he thought. Nio isn't one that goes out much. In fact, he tries to avoid going outside unless it is in the evening, which he goes out for walks.

Nio arrived at the store momentarily. With his fridge empty, he
would need to buy a lot of food to supply himself and prevent him from leaving the house.

Looking through the aisles, he examined the kinds of food that he might like.
