Siana Felies

As I pad into the gym for training, I find myself drawn to a few of the tables. There are so many choices for what I could do that I don't really know where to start. I pick one at random and head over to it, keeping my head held high. I am Siana Felies, a regal girl from a regal family, these other people will soon be dead anyways. I find myself at the fire making station and try my hand at getting a flame started, it will be useful to be able to start a fire in the arena, that will be one of the few ways of purifying water in the arena so knowing how to make a fire will be useful. I smile in satisfaction as a small flame ignites under my steady hands and I hold it up for the instructor to inspect. He seems satisfied and I move on.

Coming to the first aid station, I notice two other kids at the station. The boy from ten, I don't quite remember his name, and the boy from eight I can't remember his name either. I smile as I approach them. "Hello, Siana District seven" I extend my hand to them in greeting.

Honestly I feel like I've been at the first aid station for too long but I'm just so good at it. I can't help it, the weapons station just seems so intimidating. The other kids are at the stations, reducing dummies to nothing but heaps of fake flesh and blood and here I am, just trying to fix up an injured dummies. I know I'll need to learn to defend myself at some point but I've just been putting it off. I guess I just can't see myself killing a person so mercilessly and so callously; I'm not a career, I'm not a cold-blooded murderer, I'm just the twig kid who doesn't deserve to be here. But when I think about it does anyone deserve to be here? These are all kids like me, with families and friends just like me. Despite this being all unfair on me no one deserves to be here, no little child deserves to die on television.

I continue trying to bandage up the dummy when suddenly another boy comes into the station as well, I ignore him a little bit at first, I'm just trying to focus at the task at hand, I'm trying to fix a wounded and bleeding dummy because for all I know this could be me. Just when I'm getting into the full swing of things another girl comes to the station as well. I know I watched her reaping tape but I didn't remember all the tribute's names. She then introduces herself as being Siana Felies from District seven and extends her hand to shake it. "M-Mantel Scoff, District ten." I say and accept her handshake.
