He rested his legs along the length of the wooden bench, his pale eyes buried in the pages. Nervously, he bit his lip, as Carmelita, the dashing heroine in the comic, back flipped over the evil cheerleaders, and blasted them all to death with her ray gun. A grin graced the fourteen year old's features, and as he completed the adventure, laid the paper down atop the planks of the table.

His gaze rose to the sky, gauging the time it took until the sun completely set, casting its inky blackness over the world. He estimated around three our for hours. He smiled to himself, and swung his legs over the edge of the table, propping him form up, glancing this way and that. A hand dipped down to a black backpack, pulling out another issue of the latest 'Carmelita Canon' to flip through the pages. Some would call him a nerd, or a geek, but Logan couldn't help it. He loved comics, loved everything about them; the way they felt, the smell of the ink, even the puns cracked him up most of the time. (Even though they were all bad.)

Besides, even when he didn't have any friends in the real world, Carmelita would always be there for him.
