Appearance:
Emery was born into a decently wealthy family within District 12 so naturally she can dress better than most. Normally she can be found wearing short colorful dresses with nice sneakers. Also unlike most of the others in district twelve she has very clean and soft skin. However, her highly pale white skin bruises very easily so she often has an array of bruises constantly upon her body. Also she has a very nice luxury almost no one else in district twelve has, make up. Although she only wears it on special occasions like the reaping, however, like previously most people in twelve don't cant even do that.
As for her physical features, to start she has incredibly white pale skin caused from lack of sun. Her hair is a lovely mix of light and dark brown which goes quite well with her dark brown eyes. As for her physical build, she has practically no muscles since she doesn't partake in any activities except walking to and from school and painting. Continuing with her body type, she is very short at about five foot 1 inch and weighs only about 110 pounds, one could only imagine how light she would be if she wasn't wealthy and had food to eat. Last of all is her smile, well not her smile exactly but her teeth, even though she is wealthy she has quite crooked teeth which look awful when she smiles, so its rare to see a smile creep across her face.
Personality:
Her personality is quite interesting because it has two faces. The face she reveals to the people of the world is the blander of the two. She is very introverted and always solemn never really showing emotion or fear. Part of this is caused simply by the fact she is ashamed to smile because of her awfully crooked teeth. The other part is she is very socially awkward since her parents keep her locked up whenever she isn't at school. Poor little Emery doesn't even know that it was her parents that made her this way, she just believes its the way she was born not raised.
Although she may not excel at being a social butterfly Emery is the lead runner when it comes to creativity. She has an incredible gift to find beauty within all things and aspects of life. She can even find beauty within the wretched coal mines of district twelve! From this creativity her life as an artist took strive and soared to the heavens. Being locked up inside all the time has given her plenty of time to master the skill of painting. Whenever she is sad or happy or just plain bored you can find her with a canvas painting the night away, and more times than not creating beautiful master pieces. Sadly art is only truly appreciated in district 1 and the Capitol so she has no way to express her gift to the world.
Last of all, due to her lack of worldly experience she is extremely frightful about everything. It is so bad that her fear is borderline paranoia. Every step or every breaking branch sends her running and screaming thinking that someone is going to kill her. Due to this her parent's tried desperately to keep the truth of the Hunger Games secret from Emery but when she turned 12 they couldn't any longer. They revealed the secret to her about the games and how she had to attend the reaping and sure enough Emery freaked out. However, there was no way out of it she went to the Reaping as demanded and luckily wasn't reaped, yet.

Only two years after her came along her younger brother, Sabastian. However, since her parents loved both Emery and her brother so much they wanted to take no risks at their children getting hurt. So they made sure their children stay locked inside the house at all times except for on reaping day and during school. Due to this Emery never fully trusted people and in fact grew scared of everyone except her family.
As both her and Sabastian grew up within their prison home that they ironically loved they grew very close. They were each others only friends, and only real people to talk to. They would tell each other everything, secrets and gossip they heard from their parents, whatever they could talk about they would. They would also play a whole variety of games together, whether it be tag or hide and seek they didn't care. As long as they had each other they were never truly lonely, never truly completely shut out like their parents had hoped for.
Growing up Emery knew little to nothing about the Hunger Games except it was a big event held each year. Since Emery's parents wanted to keep her in the dark of the games so not to scare her they didn't even tell Sabastian about them. However, when Emery reached the age of twelve and Reaping day came they knew they had to tell their children. When they did Emery freaked out so much that she would be reaped and killed she fainted.
