It began the way most things do: in a fit of Cerberus Grimm's egotism.

"— not to mention my hair." Fact: Cerberus Grimm's swag is insured for triple the value of the Grimm family mansion, which by his obviously modest estimations, is selling himself short. "You might be ripped like Jesus, but my hair could defeat your abs in a sex-match any day of the week." There is a pause, during which any other person in the world would probably contemplate the words that just spilled out of his mouth and... find themselves uncertain if they feel slightly uncomfortable or just shamelessly curious about the more literal interpretations of that proposal, but not Cerberus. He has been rattling off a list of his pheromone-gilded attributes of perfection for at least ten minutes now and perhaps the only thing more questionable than his descriptions of his own flawless elbows or why the ever-fluxing rainbow of his candy-colored hair wasn't mentioned sooner, is why his best friend has yet to interrupt this tirade of narcissism.

Pointing at the other Olympians and games staff milling up and down the sidewalks of the Village, his finger darts around as if drawing their faces into constellations of hormones dedicated to himself. "Her. Her. Him. Her. Him. I bet all of them would pick this face over yours," as the words slip past his lips, meant more as an arrogant joke of idiot sincerity than a belittling of Inferno, his palm reaches out lazily to plant itself on top of his friend's face, playfully shoving him out of some kind of imaginary limelight shining within his head. Fingers smashed against nose and eyelids and cheekbones, his mouth is hitched up into what might just be a new record for World's Cockiest Smirk. "Don't worry, nobody's looking at how messed up your face is right now." Insistently, yet oh-so-casually continuing his assault, the Grimm boy winks at a girl walking down the other side of the street. "Everyone is too busy fainting over the way the sun is hitting the side of my neck to bother with you. Seriously. You know I wouldn't lie to you."

The real question, however, is whether or not Cerberus Grimm and his own ego are lying to himself.

Inferno hadn't known that one could be so incredibly full of themselves until he'd met Cerberus all those years back. He assumed that most people were pretty modest and just as uncertain about their looks as he was when it came down to it. After some thought, he realized that it was probably because he had spent the first twelve years of his life being abused in an orphanage, where no one had anything of their own, least of all an ego.

With some more consideration, he realized that the Grimms as a whole were just incredibly up themselves. That was fine of course, expected. At first it had made him only more uncomfortable with his weird body but as the years went on, Cerberus taught him not to let it bother him. Sure, he was oddly small for his age and his eyes slanted a bit weirdly but so did Cerb's and he rocked it. His friend had taught him how to appreciate himself.

Of course the rock hard abs and the white lion's main did help a bit. He felt sexy when he prowled the streets beside his partner in crime, he felt dangerous and like he was something for someone to feast their eyes on. Without Cerberus Grimm he'd still be boring, probably timid, maybe dead.

So he agreed with Cerberus in the end when Cerberus said he was the sexiest but his friend was in one of those moods again, where it was a contest, something had to be proven. He wasn't meant to nod his head in agreement, this was a game now and inferno would not be the one to drop the ball.

So he grins against the fingers mashed against his face and pulls them off with one hand, stepping forward despite his shorter stature. "Oh really Grimm? You wanna start this? We can do this right now, if you like."

Not waiting for a response, he swivels on one heel and points at one of the strangers passing by their chosen perch, crooking one finger in gesture that says, 'let's fuck' just in the way that he folds his fingers back. "Hey you, which one of us is hotter?" he asks, in the bluntest of tones.

He loved the chatter.

Everywhere he ventured, the street was alive with voices and laughter. He liked this background noise; it muted the faint echoes of sulking and complaining about losing gold medals. People took this event way too seriously. Why not enjoy the opportunities here? Districts were mingling, and that meant meeting a whole new batch of hot strangers. Fuck the medals, he didn’t need one. The festivities were the important part. Boys, girls, booze, music, and fucking. That was all he needed.

The atmosphere was addicting.

”Hey you, which one of us is hotter?”

After the finger beckoned him over he didn’t expect such a blunt question. It was actually funny, because these two looked like they sincerely needed to know.

He considered it for a moment, scanning the two of them with curious eyes. He’d fuck both of them, honestly, but he’d give them an answer to humor them. Maybe tug a few strings. ”Him,” he said, pointing to Cerberus.
