WRESTLING: ROUND 2

Welcome to the Wrestling event of the second Panem Olympic Games! The wrestling mats are located within the Olympic Arena, with stands for spectators traveling from Districts One, Two, Four, and the Capitol to watch the competitors. Television cameras are set up around as well, to broadcast the event to anyone staying home as well as to the other districts who aren't as lucky and competent as you all! Please be sure you stretch and warm up with your coaches before you're called to the starting block, and remember, make your district proud!

The wrestling event is a tournament, which follows a bracket. Each match will occur on this thread. Feel free to roleplay your character grappling with their opponent and then paste the code [*roll range="1-15"] without the asterisk into your post and roll, as you would with a Hunger Games die. This number is used to determine the winner of each match.

The competitor who scores higher than their opponent moves on to the next round, which will be posted on a new thread. As the wrestlers post, the winners and scores will be recorded here; when all the first round matches have been completed, the bracket will be updated and the next round will start.

There is NO POSTING ORDER; you may post whenever you please. Keep in mind that this event must be wrapped up by the end of the Olympics Day.

It was round two. I had won my first match. It was kind of easy if you ask me, but I wanted to win this round too. I wanted to keep going on. The worst part about this match was the spandex. They made me uncomfortable as they were tight fitting, but in the end it was worth it. It's an amazing thing watching people wrestle. Hand to hand combat has never been my strong field though. I'd much prefer to throw a spear at someone and pierce their heart; however, that can't happen now. I take a deep breath as I jump around slightly fighting to loosen myself up. I want to make sure every muscle is capable of working. I want to know that I'm stronger than most people have given credit. I am Genesis Reese, and my father trained me in everything. I want to prove to him. I want him to know that everything is taken care of. I want to show everyone in this nation that I am very capable of winning.

The roar of the crowd fills my ears. It's an amazing sound knowing that they are cheering for me. They want me to do well. I nod my head at my opponent. It's a polite thing to do, but it's nothing more than an acknowledgement. Whoever this Brody kid is made it this far. He's done well, but today I hope he'll lose because if he doesn't lose, that means I lost, and I don't know how to lose. When it's time to begin, I pounce, and I hope for the best.

Round one, done.

Round two bring it on.

He walks out, his body hugged tightly by the uniform that had his name printed on the back as well as the number four. He does not smile as he walk over to where the assistants point him. The name of his opponent is called out and he turns to see her walk towards him. His mouth doesn't even twitch, his face set in stone. He didnt care that his opponent was a female because in the games it wouldn't matter- so why should it matter now.

He looks her from head to toe, as they stand opposite each other. His mind thinking of all the different way he could take her down. She was only small, not even half his size. It shouldn't be too much of a struggle.

Now he smiles, a half smile which was as cold as ice. He was ready, he was ready to fight, to win. "Good luck" he mumbles, before running at her, his whole body weight behind him.

I can't stop laughing.

Somehow my partner in crime, somehow the girl that even I cannot honestly say I have ever actually beaten in the ring, has fallen in the first round and only I have moved on. Somehow Hedvig is now standing on the sidelines and hoping she does a half-decent job in boxing while I am stretching for yet another day of kicking ass. The boy from yesterday was... less than impressive, and easily beaten. He could have used a few of the classes Heddy and I offered back in Two. Hell, he could have used a lot.

The girl forces my brows together in confusion. She is so... small. I am not entirely shocked, I suppose. Stranger things have happened by far, but I guess seeing such a tiny form actually doing well in an event like this is off-putting.

It doesn't mean plan on going easy on her, and I don't. I tackle her down in seconds, with practically no resistance from her. Almost like she wanted me to win. I don't question her motives, though. Instead I stand and nod as I watch my name advance to the next open slot on the digital brackets. Semi-finals first, then the real thing.

Then I would get my gold.

Yesterday was so fucking easy that he could have done it with his eyes shut. ~~He did do that but later~~. Today his body was sore as hell. He hadn't done so much wrestling in weeks, his body hadn't been quite up to it. However, like any good Rex he would ignore the pain and just get through the day, hopefully without too many manylish tears.

Maybe it's because I used to be a whore, but I can't deny loving the feeling of pinning a man beneath me. Except, I was only ever that easy for one man's money and that feeling and the one I get when I look particularly at Jev Falls are not rooted in the same impulse. There's no denying that I want to conquer him, but today he is my mountain, not my one night stand. The way my hips sway as I devour the distance between us is a not a seduction. It's a threat.

Who knows. Maybe Jev likes his women cutthroat and unforgiving.

Or maybe he doesn't like women at all, but either way his opinion doesn't matter. I'm here to be reckoned with and contrary to the whispered curves of my slight frame, I know how to fight ~~and tear and destroy~~. They called my name during a Reaping once and although I turned the opportunity down, it wasn't for fear of losing. If anything, that was one war I was secretly terrified I would win.
