Cecil Keeny ~ District Four ~ Complete

Cecil is a fairly tall boy standing at 5"11, he's generally fit but not overly muscular. What he lacks in brute force, he makes up in speed. He has a square jaw, a wide smile paired with reasonably straight teeth, almond shaped blue eyes, and light brown hair.

Most people do find Cecil attractive - he is pretty good looking. Their advances don't phase Cecil but rarely do they actually catch his eye. Honestly, Cecil doesn't find himself attractive in any sense of the word. He finds himself rather average looking and doesn't understand the extra attention he gets from the people around him. He thinks that his hair is too long, and his facial features are too feminine. Cecil always compares himself to his brothers, compared to the three of them Cecil finds himself rather underdeveloped. He looks different from the other guys around town, and he doesn't think that's a good thing.

Having grown up with older siblings, Cecil has plenty of scars on his knees and arms (from all of the rough housing), then one small mark above his left eyebrow from being pushed down on a rock. 

Coming from a family of fishers, Cecil also has light highlights in his hair from the sun beating down on him from spending a plethora of time out on the boat with his family, his skin is tanned - but also burnt most of the times, and he has freckles dotting across his nose and on his shoulders. 

Cecil is all and all more of a speed person rather than force. He thinks quickly and moves quickly, he relies primarily on his gut feeling and instinct which can get him in trouble from time to time.

Cecil is what most would call a realist. He isn't overly positive, but he also isn't extremely negative. He looks at the world in a realistic life, and isn't afraid to tell people how it is. He can be very blunt with expressing his feelings about the situation he is in, he won't sugarcoat anything for anyone. That can also get him into trouble with other people, mostly those who don't really want to hear the truth. 

He is also very, very, very sarcastic. He hardly can take any situation seriously, and his motto is "if you ask stupid questions, you're going to get a stupid answer". 

As a kid, his brothers used to tease Cecil. They would tell him things like "If you were ever in the hunger games, you would die making some stupid comment". Cecil lives for puns, and he lives to joke with the people around him - even if it isn't the best idea to be joking with that person. Along with that, Cecil is very hard to make angry. He would get hurt from peoples words, but he would never retaliate physically or verbally. He would prefer to debate and argue with people rather than fight them in hand to hand combat. 

He is also very trusting, he offers second chances with little or no thought. He believes that if you give a person a chance to be good, they can be. But without that chance they won't ever have that chance. Along with his trust, he is also highly empathetic. He can almost literally put himself in someone else's shoes to relate to them. Some would see it as his fatal flaw - he would always prefer to help others rather than himself. 

Cecil has three older brothers named Daron, Eli, and Ivory. All three managed to escape the hunger games every year till they could no longer be entered in the drawing. Their parents also managed to avoid being thrown into the arena and they hope that Cecil will manage to avoid becoming a tribute until he gets too old to be entered. 

Their family - like many others in district four - are fishermen, and since a young age Cecil has gone out into open waters to fish with his family. He didn't have the patience to sit with his rod and wait for the fish to come to him, so Cecil often found himself disobeying his fathers orders and jumping right into the water to try and catch fish with his hands. For the most part it worked, he could maybe catch a small fish or two before one of his brothers had to jump in and pull him out of the water. 

Later in life, Cecil would find himself more or less skipping out on the weekend family fishing trips. Mostly running out of their house before anyone else woke up, and hiding so he wouldn't have to spend another boring afternoon under the hot sun. His normal hiding spots would be a small rocky cove he found when he was six or just out in plain sight in town. 

Another important part of Cecil's childhood was his schooling. Cecil was a smart boy, but he had a smart mouth and would often get in trouble with his teachers although he achieved high marks in his classes. He had only a few friends in school despite being a social kid, he likes to keep his few friends close, and the amount of acquaintances he has to a minimum. This was a part of Cecil's attempt to minimize the amount of people he held close that could wind up as a tribute in the games. 

Cecil is expected to take up the family fishing business along side his brothers once he's done with his schooling - as long as he manages to escape the wrath of the hunger games.
