So.. is there a 'Just Got Reaped' guide anywhere??

I'm pretty sure there is one somewhere, I'll see if i can dig it up for you.

We also have an OOC Mentorship program where you can be paired with a veteran member who can help you and advise you. Signups for this will start after all the tributes have accepted, but in the meantime feel free to shoot me a PM or ping me on skype with any questions you may have that might not be covered by the guide. (Also, most of the folks in the cbox are usually quite knowledgeable and willing to answer quick questions.)

Edit: Okay, so it looks like we don't have a guide on the technical stuff (or, no one can find it) so I'll be writing one up at some point. Over the next two weeks before the bloodbath, here's a quick list of what you should be doing:

1) make sure you write a reply to the reaping thread to accept your position
2) consider talking to people to try to form alliances, as these are generally made within the first week after the reaping
3) thread with people in the training center once it opens - the more people your tribute has interacted with prior to the games, the more people you have to write about once you're in the actual arena
4) pick some training stations and write a private training session that your tribute will be scored on - threads regarding these will be forthcoming
5) do a tribute interview - they're optional but highly encouraged. A thread on this will be forthcoming as well
5a) another optional thing you may want to do is find a token, but not everyone does
6) do some research - look over a few recent past games to get a feel for the mechanics. I'd recommend looking at a bloodbath thread (though not necessarily reading all the posts...) as well as other fight threads. Consider doing some JFF Fights with people who've been in the games before to practice with the dice.
7) take a look at the rules once those are posted
8) definitely sign up to get an OOC Mentor (that thread will be up by tuesday, with mentor assignments going out by the end of this week)
