Talking is Simple, Killing is Not(Kia + Emery)

The train ride to the lovely Capitol followed quickly by the Tribute's Parade had completely worn Emery out. From the vicious plucking of all her body hairs to the enduring of screaming Capitolites. Emery was fed up with it all, and she had only been here a day. One fucking day. She didn't know how she would stand the next few days of training, and of course her interview with Ceasar Flickerman. Due to all these amazing things she got to be apart of it was no surprise she had fallen into a deep sleep. She was dreaming of home and of her family; she also foresaw multiple ways for herself to die. However, she would not awaken when one dream ended but instead roll right back into another. It was a never ending cycle, yet it was one Emery enjoyed. Then that all came to a catastrophic clash when her escort screamed at her to wake up.

Emery shot up as if someone set fire to her bed sheets at the sound of the Capitolite's screech. When Emery finally identified her escort the rage boiled up inside her until it exploded from her mouth. Without even waiting for her escort to finish rambling on about their her strict schedule Emery screamed at her. "Can't you wake up a girl doomed to death a little nicer! I mean you don't see me going to kill you and waking you up by screaming like a bitch!" The moment Emery stopped and saw the look of terror and some sadness on her escort's face she regretted yelling. She tried to open her mouth to apologize but her escort ran out of the room before she ever got the chance.

With guilt now bitterly on her mind Emery changed into a simple grey training suit and brushed her now silky looking hair. The girl she looked like today was completely different from the one back in twelve. Emery even felt as though she was changing in her core. It was growing darker, meaner, perfect for the Games, but one that terrified her. Emery saw how tributes changed in the arena and solely wished for that never to happen to her. Now here she was becoming those beasts she saw, the ones who can't control their rage, the ones who kill. With a now racing heart Emery slammed the brush down and hastily left her room.

She ate breakfast quickly, which contained some eggs, oatmeal, and some kind of sweet fruit juice. Once finished she and Jim were sent down the elevator to the training center below. Emery's heart was beating so loud she was sure anyone could hear it if they wanted to. She had never met the other tributes and now they would all be watching her like prey. Devising how exactly they would end her weak thoughtless life. The whole idea made her want to puke, but she couldn't. She had to learn to be brave and hide her emotions, a cry baby never wins the games. The doors ding as they slide gently open revealing a large area filled with surviving stations and training courses. Emery's palms were wet as she and her fellow tributes listened to some long boring speech about how to survive. Normally Emery would listen but she could care less right now with her opponents all around her.

When they were finally dismissed Emery watched the tributes disperse mostly to weapons station. Her urges told her to follow but her mind told her stay away, so she obeyed. She hustled over to a station designated to learning safe and deadly plants. For a while she learned the basics but caught on very quickly. In just an hour she was answering the instructor's questions with ease. Emery noted that no one else had come by yet other than the occasional glance. She just shrugged it off, fine sucks for them then when the die of poisoning. With a laugh she continued to work diligently at mastering the names of all these plants.
