Fighters Make Horrible Patients (Final Spinoff~Matt/Vy &Ky?}

Alright so Vy was sort of hoping for a nurse. Not to be rude, but some drugs over one of her friends seeing her look like crap is sort of preferable. Apparently a broken nose and bruised face doesn't suit her as well as it did in the past. And lets face it, in this condition of course painkillers are more desirable. But then again she's not going to reject some distraction. Especially from her good old friend Matthew, whom automatically starts off with a joke nonetheless. Yeah, this could be interesting.

It is company from the isolation anyways, and instantly she greets him with a coy grin. "Because the drugs are free." Vy answers a matter-of-factly, though the humor -to no surprise- is very present. It's not like her goal is to always end up here, quite opposite actually. But this is where she is, and there's no changing that. Least now she has some entertainment.

One thing that Vy never learned is the different treatment people give to someone who's close to them and in pain. It's weird. Because Matthew actually apologizes for not visiting sooner, and even stranger gives the Blonde a kiss on her forehead. Instinctively her expression grows slightly between worried and confused. "Did you hit your head real hard before taking Jins out?" She questions with concern, and an ending of a short laugh to reassure that she's only joking.

The topic doesn't trail far from Vy's condition though. It must be a lot worse then she's willing to accept, cause again she's told how frighten it all was. Never would of thought her wellbeing could effect others. "Keeps things exciting." Is explained since it seems like the sarcasm never fades between these two. "I was trying to protect everyone." A more sincere reasoning follows, along with a sigh and a shake of her head from how silly she sounds.

"But I heard you were the one to finally kill the bastard." Perhaps that's a little harsh since they're now talking about a dead guy. But given that very guy came so close to killing at least two of them, he still deserves it. "Good job." She gives her form of a compliment. He was the only one capable after all, props to him. Who knows where they'd be if he didn't.

Sort of funny how this very humor is what had Matthew and Vy butting heads when they first met. Now it's their way of making the best out of situations and even being comforting towards each other. Like brothers if a tittle has to be put to it. For some reason it's this similarity in sarcasm and ass kicking that's made them close friends. So much so that he even mentions how it would of been better if she didn't have to go through any of that horrible pain in the first place. "Yeah, but then I wouldn't of gotten the drugs." But of course she stills tries to make the best out of it, especially if it might relax her visitor.

Speaking of her company, he seems awfully strange today. Giving a genuinely kind greeting that completely shocks Vy. Apparently he actually did knock his head, though it happened afterwards... Is it the medicine making the Blonde all confused, or is she unknowingly in the dark? Before she has a chance to ask, he's moving on to another joke with question on if he's a bad kisser. "Horrible." She sarcastically replies, being completely mean is too much work today.

Sadly the light mood is taken away by the next topic. Didn't think a compliment would ruin it, but then again Vy also understands how this one could. When the first epidemic with Jins occurred, she couldn't pull around to completely ending his life. This time it had to be done though. If only that fact changed anything. Silence takes over as Matthew gets comfortable in a seat and clearly gets sucked in by his thoughts on it all. The worst part, is Vy has no clue how to turn it around. That is until his need to know what happened to her sparks an idea.

Sharing a fight that she lost is never pleasant, but if it can help Matthew in any way it'll be worth it. "He surprised me and got the upper hand." Her pitch drops dramatically with these words. Just like last night, the slightest memory of Jins brings unwelcoming pain. "Got my gun before I could, and took me out into the woods." Seems like the rest is self-explanatory, but just incase she finds a little more to add in. "If you didn't kill him, the chaos would of never stopped. Jeran would of been too busy in interrogation to find me, and who knows what else could of happened." If that doesn't bring Matt back around, nothing will. He saved lives at the cost of one evil one.

That's why the majority completely hates hospitals. Sure they're meant to heal and save people; but what's even worse then the pain that comes with it, is the conversations this place provokes. Least Matthew is making it more pleasant and humorous then everyone else does. Though they still reach that dreadful topic eventually, and Vy can't even bring herself around to ignoring it. The way it was setup, he needs this information.

Only one question arises from it all, Jins's purpose. "I'm sure he was hoping one of your guys' dead corpse was gonna come rescue me." Vy answers quite seriously though really it's a load of sarcasm. Mixing up intentions that psycho would of never had and reality. He wanted all of them to die, and the less he had to fight at once was apparently preferable. Smart guy, now a dead guy.

It must be obvious between the two of them that Jins had no desire for her to get out of those woods alive. Again, it's thanks to Matthew that they're all in decent shape. For some reason he doesn't get that though. Seems like he always refuses to admit when he's done something heroic...that sounds familiar. Anyways, he claims that the bastard's end didn't have to be with death. "Right, because that worked so well last time." Vy can be just as stubborn as Matt is, especially over a subject like this. He can't be beating himself over saving them.

Looks like they've both met their match in hard heads. Of course Matthew doesn't agree, simply sums it up to his gratitude that Brody and her are alive. "Yeah, thanks." Surprisingly that word doesn't sting as much as Vy thought it would. Best to still move straight onto some more humor though. "I would of killed that jackass if you didn't...well I sort of tried, and." Great job with wording. "It's not even about the fact that he deserved it. Now no one has to worry about him ever again. Your girl can finally sleep easy now because of you."

Eyes widen on the Blonde because of what Matthew actually says. Did her sarcasm provide understanding for the first time in her life? There might of been a maybe in there, but his voice tells otherwise. Sounds more like he's on the road to agreeing and accepting. "Of course I am." Vy smirks with her typical response.

Apparently all he needs is some time for everything to sink in. Seems like he needs a different perspective though, such as the one Vy's attempting to give. Not to look at it as a murder that could of been solved other ways, but as something that needed to be done. Since he walked in here it seems like he's made some progress towards that at least. "Or you need to stop sinking so far into it." She retaliates with. Just a smidgen of advice that he can either take or leave. Internally debating, for who knows how long, won't do him any good.

The conversation gets switched away, and Vy understands too well to trail back. "So many questions, my head is spinning. Did you learn that from Kyanite?" The Brunette did always claim distraction was her weapon, but damn does she use it a lot. Whether fighting or anything else. "As sober as I seem, I'm still on a load of drugs. What about Brittany?... She shouldn't know about this." All communication were dropped with that Witch that second Vy & Brooklyn moved out, thankfully.

"Whatever you do, do not bring Brittany here." Vy rejects Matthew's offer with a concerned and serious expression, until she finally cracks with a smile. Of course she knows he was talking about Brooklyn. "That'd be fun. Kyanite and Jeran are watching her while i'm locked away in this place. Poor kids probably need a break." After all there's no way she could possibly pay them back for this generous help, can only hope she will over time.

There is one funny thing that Vy can think of mentioning. Something she has to before Matthew departs. "So I heard it's a girl." That's all she has to say, and the laughter behind her pitch declares more then enough. She could be wrong about this, but she's guessing he's not too thrilled. "Rough news after everything?" Has to be asked.

The honest truth over the strong drugs gets the perfect reaction, a short laugh and there for a successful joke. Who knew humor could be found in more then such sarcasm. Not only that, but it surprisingly evokes a different truth back. "How kind of you." It's the only way Vy knows how to reply, jokingly. First she actually scares Jeran, and now Matthew's genuinely concerned over her wellbeing. It's not as easy to swallow as it may seem, least for Vy.

Back to the topic of drugs, because that's a lot more pleasant. And plus he's very right about the one benefit of being a peacekeeper, the good stuff. Funny enough Matt then mentions how he's shocked that she's not already walking. "Jeran said the same thing..." She cuts herself off there and ends with a small smirk and a shake of her head. Yeah, the medicine's a little too good. Letting just about anything she thinks of slip out. Next conversation, please.

And the one about Brittany is fantastic, given she's an obnoxious distraction without even being here. Obviously so as Matthew's face scrunches in pain, before reassuring he won't be bringing that Witch around. "I understand, she's a soar topic." Vy plays it off that he just dislikes that woman so much that he winces at only the mention of her. Of course she knows it's something else, it's fun to kid. "Get more beat up then I thought?" She questions afterwards, seconds prior to his explanation of running into a fist...and request for Vy to share her meds.

"Jins?" Is automatically what she assumes. Certainly he didn't take down the enemy without a scratch. It's almost even drug-sharing worthy. "I'd help you out, but I don't see any needles attached to you." His choice if he wants to find a way to fix that or not. She's a little stuck her after all.

Speaking of being stuck here, the company of Brooklyn's been suffering dramatically because of this. One advantage of her situation and good friends, that she's willing to take, is any help with her rascal. Sounds like Matt's not been informed of the arrangements though. For some reason he seems baffled over the whole thing. "What?" Vy asks since a good explanation never came forth. "Jeran's off duty and helping her, I'm sure she's fine." Can only guess that he's worried Ky can't handle it after everything that happened. Her nurturing ability's amazing though, she's probably doing great.

With Kyanite in mind, and little one's as well, the news that another girl will be joining there group springs up. "Jeran told me." But the subject doesn't go as Vy was hoping, and her voice drops as the mood does. "Just though it was ironic." Really wasnt planning on sounding rude about it, that's how it was apparently taken though. So he's not too thrilled over the gender? Or what?

"If that's what you say, I believe you." The complete opposite of what Vy was expecting happens. He's frustrated over everyone's assumption that he's not happy over it. "I know how much you used to hate chicks. There's no doubt that you'll love this little girl as much as you would a boy though." Hopefully that'll save Vy's ass over her wording mistakes.

Did Vy really not inform Matthew over what happened the night Brooklyn and her moved in with the Ruze's? Actually, that's not too surprising. LIke explained plenty of times before, she hates sharing incidents she wasn't on top of. But why Jeran or Kyanite didn't clue him in a little is beyond her. And quite frankly a couple months later, in a hospital after another event nonetheless, is not the time. So only a shrug comes from Vy, until Matt pulls out an alternative reasoning to save her. Any other time she'd complete oppose the mention of Jeran, to leave the topic of Brittany is well worth it though. Even if her friend also includes just how heroic that very guy was recently.

"Yup, that's it." If these drugs weren't doing such a good job she would of come up with something more clever. For now, that's gonna have to do though. Anything to get Brittany out of the conversation. Hopefully it doesn't lead to future assumptions. Best way to do that, is by moving onto something else yet again.

Such as Matthew's condition, though he seems to of gotten out a lot better then everyone else. Still he's not entirely untainted, which automatically causes the prediction that Jins is to blame. Apparently it's stupidity though. This explanation completely baffles Vy, but it doesn't appear Matt's willing to give any more. Knowing fully well the annoyance of being pushed for feelings, she doesn't press anything. Just a, "Gotcha." And she leaves it at that.

With nothing else to talk about, they're back on the subject of Kyanite & Jeran, and there generosity with watching Brooklyn. There's truly nothing to be worried about with the two of them on the job. Plus it even looked like they were happy for the practice, with another little one on the way and all. Of course Vy still finds guilt over the situation, but there's not much she can do about it in her position. Can only be thankful.

Instead of remaining on Kyanite, Matthew switches over to Jeran and his good heart. Is he trying to sneak out some information? See how Vy reacts, and try to figure out her perspective. The corners of her lips curl up, but that's about it. Even intoxicated by the medication, she's still got her wits. "Yeah." Vy agrees lightly, because her slight pokerface is all she's got. Luckily these topics never stick around for very long. Enough unwanted hints have already escaped.

The lighthearted joke over the gender of his forming baby has turned into a serious discussion. It finally clicks that it's mental pain overtaking Vy's friend. The presumption that he's unpleased with a girl has much more depth. He has no problem with it, but the ones he cares about are certain that he does. Most importantly Kyanite thinks that. But Vy does trust his word. "Yeah." She reassures quickly before listening further. It's hard to believe that Ky doesn't, maybe it was only miscommunication though. Knowing where it came from, and how the Blonde can even change her mind over it, might help.

Since Vy first found out her friends were expecting, she was confident that Matthew was going to be an amazing father despite anything. Could just be her need to see him achieve what she couldn't, and can't, for Brooklyn. Either way, not even the gender changed that. Was only a little joke gone wrong. For some reason Ky's not as convinced as she is. "She will." Vy attempts to encourage, just to get completely thrown off by Matt's next words.

It feels impossible to picture Kyanite doing and saying such things. Kicking Matt out of the hospital room, and pressing that he'll never love his daughter. Result from all the stress and drama? "That's harsh." Is all Vy can say with a hushed voice. "I'm sure she didn't mean it..." There's no way of telling, but she can only hope for that much. They can't fall apart after everything that just occurred. "What happened?" She asks with a desire to understand, and possibly help if she can.
