She was a wild thing. She played in the dark and slept in trees. She wore scrapes and cuts proudly, with her bird-like features turned into a delicate, quiet smile. She liked boy clothes because she could move better in them. She only owned one dress and that was per her own request: simple and gray like the winter coats of bark in the forests she called home. She liked to keep her hair as short because it was much easier to handle, just a quick run through with her hands and she was ready to go. Her parents loved her, though her mother probably had hoped for a more feminine daughter. She got that with Sena, so maybe that was why Kit's relationship with her mother had always been strained.
