To think Dillon made it through the entire Tribute Parade without stumbling is quite a miracle in itself. Can't they just leave it at that? Give her a pat on the back and send her on her merry way back to district three, possibly even with Prism as well. No? Well a girl could only hope.

Once she stepped off that -very fogged- train, everything became even more surreal. Was it due to the breathtaking kissing on top of alcohol and smoking intoxication? Probably, but she can't help but think that the idea of going into the games soon is also partially to blame. Least her mind isn't constantly surrounded by the thought, thanks to Prism it seems. Any gruesome images that spring up, she looks over at him and just thinks of district three hoes. It has a nice ring to it.

"So there's probably not going to be any medical plants...that we can smoke?" The dinner guest around their table don't seem to appreciate Dillon's small talk, nor strategies. Smoking out the competition sounds like a logical plan. Even if it can't initially kill them, it'll at least knock out the unexperienced. Finish them off while they're passed out, or munching, or just wait for them to dehydrate from cotton mouth. The options are endless. As anyone can tell, there wasn't much conversation over this meal after that.

Like little kid they're sent to their rooms, while a giant party is being had downstairs. Sort of rude. And to no surprise Dillon finds no desire to sleep. Sure it's probably needed after such a long day, but her brain's not shutting off. All she can do is think about what's going on back home. Is her family still dancing? Or are they already crumbling without their Dj? Are the older ones watching out for the littles? Or is everyone getting irresponsibility drunk while she's not there to look after them all?

There's no telling...

The only thing Dillon can gather at this point, is that she needs to find her lack of caring again. Everything is out of her hands. She either needs to survive, or live it up while she still can. Without any thought her feet are moving for her, and she goes in search of her lovely distraction. Prism can't be too far.

Prism Nixton-

Prism could feel the tension and nerves in the air as DJ and himself ate breakfast. Prism wasn't sure if she was any good with weapons but he hoped that she would catch on quickly. She was smart after all. In fact Prism thought that maybe he would be able to teach. Maybe he could use his awful training to help her survive. She had to be the one to live after all.

Before Prism realized it they were in the training center surrounded by the other tributes. As usual the careers looked over power as hell. Except this year there was another underlying one they wouldn't see coming. This year DJ would win, not some utterly useless career. What good were trained killers for society anyway?

Just as Prism spotted the knife station he saw DJ. She looked overwhelmed and alone. Although his mind told him to train he couldn't just leave her. So giving into his emotions towards her he walked towards her. Every step closer making him feel happier and happier. Which in a place like this was like being sent to pure heaven.

Gently Prism placed his hand on her should and he planted a swift kiss on her cheek. "Hey there DJ I was about to go to the knife station if you would like to join me. I could use some company other than these other weird mother fuckers."

Hesitation arrives before Dj brings herself around to knocking on the door to Prism's room. Already they spent all day together; on the train, the Tribute parade, dinner & reaping recaps. The stoned-antisocial qualities just kicked into her, and it wasn't like the other tributes were leaving their district partner. No matter how many jokes were cracked, or silent moments were had between them, it was nice to have Prism there. He's from home, and his attitude couldn't be more comforting. Yet something stops her from seeking his company again, worried that she might be overthinking what they have exactly. She returns to her own room for the night.

The next morning doesn't feel any better. That dream-state is still intact, but all those goofy sensations have dissipated. Now she actually has to get her shit together, and all she can think about is that kiss on the journey here. That taste of Prism mixed with weed still stuck on her lips. How can she consider training when she only wants to hangout with him and smoke some more. Damn games.

Soon enough she's dressed in the proper attire and heading downstairs. Everywhere she turns it seems as though the mood has intensified since last night. Is reality hitting in, or was the intoxication leaving her unobservant until now? Either way she sucks it up, and begins wandering around the stations to get a little feel of each before deciding. None of them seem to fit her criteria. She's not a rich kid that's prepared to be in these games. All of these teachings are foreign to her; and though that should probably motivate her more to get started, she only continues to stroll around with crossed arms.

She stares off at some Tributes starting a fight among each other. Wasn't that the first rule given in the Training Center? No combat with the other tributes? Least it's entertaining for Dj. A hand suddenly appears on her shoulder, and swiftly her head turns that way with worry. Is someone wanting see what she's made of as well? Thankfully not as it's her Blonde district partner that's grabbed her attention. Quickly his lips brush against her cheek, leaving another smirk in it's place, just as he caused yesterday.

"Hey.." She greets with her grin growing larger. Finally he's come to save her from her baffled composure. He offers to join him at the knife station, and immediately her head is slowly nodding. "Sure. I've never fought with a knife before, but I guess we all have to start somewhere." She agrees with a light sigh. "How about you? How prepared are you for these games?"

The question she asked was simple, yet it kept going over and over in his head. Was he really ready? Was he ready to give up being a jokester to become some sleazy serious dick? Or would he risk his own death to remain the same careless man he was and that DJ knew. It all actually frightened Prism as his thoughts became more and more like serial pictures. His hands even began quivering at the thought of what kind of shit was waiting for them just several days from now.

Yet Prism couldn't show fear or worry, he had to be the one everyone including DJ could turn to. Who they could see and calm down. At least for now, but when that gong sounded and the blood rushes to everyone's heads would they turn his way in happiness or scream in fear. Fear of the white ghost who would undoubtly be the dark horse of these games.

Prism blinked hard several times until his casual smile returned as he locked his hand warmly with hers. His eyes glimmered with the dullness of smoke and the admiration of love. His pulse was steady as he led her to the station. Once there he picked up a knife and began twirling and juggling it in his hands. He even through it up and the air a few times and caught it. After he caught the knife for the fifth time he answered her challenge of a question with a jokingly voice.

"Well you know, I feel ready physically but mentally I'm not sure. However all I am determined to do is keep a level head. If that means by smoking then good at least I'm not panicking." Just as his final words left his lips he spun and sent the knife flying swiftly towards the targets. Then with a loud clank it nailed a targets forehead. Prism nodded briefly then turned back towards her.

With her hand within his, Dj follows Prism to the station of his choosing. The question still roams silently between them, on whether he feels prepared for the Arena. Obviously she's not, fearful over the idea of whom she'll have to carve one of those knifes into. If it came to fighting for her own life against a scary, bulky Tribute, that's one thing. But what if she's faced with a little one? Perhaps that's exactly why she has no interest in training, even if that's what everyone else is concentrated on.

Is Prism ready to kill whomever he has to, to stay alive? His tricks say he's capable, but that's only half an answer. It's one thing to flip around a knife and throw it at a dummy, and a whole other to stab another kid. That's exactly what comes from his words to; feeling physically prepared, and not so much mentally. Perfect way to explain it.

Apparently the only way he's staying calm is by smoking. That sounds nice, Dj hasn't since the train ride. How would she possibly be able to learn something though? Especially when she's already having difficulties. Then she'll be stuck in the Arena with the initial anxiety of it all, since she's determined to numb it away while she can. "So what are you going to do when you're in the Arena? Doubt they'll have the right kind of plants for us." She questions after he flies his knife into a target a decent bit away, then brings his focus back to her. "Sneak some in?" Have to at least try to joke.

"Only time I've ever used a knife, is making dinner for everyone." Dj mentions with a pathetic chuckle-sigh. Fingers grasp around a handle of one, lifting it up with cation. "Hopefully instincts will kick in, I guess." She comments softly, not even daring to throw hers at the target.
