This time tomorrow, Dillon may be dead. There's no telling what the next day holds anymore, and she absolutely hates it. It scares her to the bone to be so clueless. So in the dark when it's her life that depends on this knowledge. Only a week ago she was in complete charge of her day-to-day, and now she holds no control whatsoever. It's not so much the ultimate death that scares her, but the lack of power she has in how that happens. What if some Tributes leave her to die slow and painfully for the cameras? Leaving her dance family with that last memory of her. She can't go down easily.

"Get as much sleep as possible." Her stylist encouraged her. Though she can't even find the urge to shut her eyes. For once since she's been here, she'd like to not be given orders. And tonight, she refuses to follow any.

Once the entire floor falls silent, Dillon's door is creaking open for her escape. She's going to enjoy her last night before the games. She needs that list bit of control in her life. A bottle of liquor is taken from the kitchen prior to her journey to Prism's room. Certainly he'll understand her need for a little fun. There's only a small knock before she slowly enters and slips into the room.

"Hey..." Dj greets with her back against the door, feeling slightly awkward for just barging in. "I couldn't sleep. Thought maybe...you couldn't either." She explains herself and then holds up the alcohol to make her intrusion a little better. "Up for some company?" Is asked with a tiny grin across her lips.

The time had vanished just like the haze of summer does for all the school kids back in three. Always too soon does something come. Always rushed and sudden are the moments humans fear the most. But not for Prism. He was not afraid, but more anxious. He had many questions he wanted answers to. Such as what the arena was or would him and his allies even survive day one? Yet most importantly, what would happen to DJ?

It was a question that kept him tossing and turning in his silk sheets. It laid havoc to his mind and whipped him never ending with nerves for losing her. He also envisioned them together when he was sad here. Yet now all he could see is her blood followed by the sound of canon fire. He would do his best to protect her, to keep her safe. However, if some how her fragile and angelic body were to fall he would be there. He would comfort her, kiss her. He would stay with her until the lone moon rose up high into the heavenly skies to lead her home. It was his duty.

Drip. Prism's sweat from his brow as he thought fell to the tiled floor. He knew he should just give in and get out of bed. So rising from the roasting sheets in nothing more than his blue boxers he walked silently to the window. The moon's rays beaming brilliantly off his snow white skin. Below Capitol people screamed and cheered in a never ending party. Screens played interviews, reapings, and past games. One portrayed a young Arbor Halt making his triumphant victor while another had a close up of Mr Flickermen. It was a deranged but to them was normal. Kind of like his pipe which he now brought to his lips as he sucked in its glorious life energy.

The entire floor was silent as his escort, stylists, and mentor all slept with ease. They weren't in danger. When tomorrow finally came they wouldn't be a dot on the horizon disappearing towards hell. Oh how cruel the world was. Yet oh how lovely the weed was as he exhaled graciously again.

His ears perked up as the knob to his door turned and the sound of quiet steps followed. As the door shut Prism turned from the window and faced her, his love, his life, Dj. She motioned to a bottle of alcohol in her hand and asked if he wanted company. His lips bent upwards as he walked towards her and kissed her neck softly. "Of course I would love some. Who needs those dumb old Hunger Games anyway when we can have our own private party tonight. In the Capitol of all places." Then softly he kissed her lips as he took the alcohol from her, and once they seperated brought it to his lips before returning it to her along with his pipes. However he always kept one hand softly on her waist.

Don't think, it's a stupid mistake. It's too painful to consider that Prism will also be going into the Arena, more so then even reminding herself that she'll be there along with him. She doesn't want to witness his death, nor face the idea that only one of them will make it back to District Three if anything. Perhaps neither of them will survive...it sends an unpleasant shiver down Dillon's back as he turns towards her, his fare features glowing with such life. This Panem wouldn't be the same without his carefree charm. Yeah, she needs a long hard swing of some alcohol.

Generously she offers him the first sip though, once he's in reaching distance and only inches away from her. Why does his mere closeness has her heart fluttering? His grin alone reflects one across her own cheeks, and his lips leave goosebumps wherever they go. "Lucky us." Dillon giggles when he suggests having their own private party since they're in the Capitol. Then his lips finds her's as he takes possession of the liquor.

In exchange he passes over his filled pipe and a lighter, which she eagerly takes. The back of her head falls against the door as she takes a large inhale, extremely grateful to have the weed clearing her mind. With her senses enlightened, she realizes his hand resting on her hip and her grins grows. Talk about a nice distraction. A nice sip is taken from the bottle when it's passed back to her, her eyes unable to leave his as she does so. "We can't be together in the Arena." She blurts out through her highness, and burning throat from the booze.

"I can't risk watching you die." Still her vision doesn't falter away from his, light tears springing to her face. "I like you too much..." She confesses before taking a larger gulp from the bottle. Then her lips go to his again, and this time she's kissing with passion. It's the last time they'll be able to be together outside of the Arena, and she's determined to take advantage of that.

When her lips press tightly against his own he feels his heart swell. He longed for the kiss not to end. It made his world shine a little brighter. Everytime he imagined the life they could of had together. Yet it also brings sadness to his panging mind at the thought of losing her. He wouldn't, he couldn't. It would be her not him to win. Diamond would understand he knew she would. She always wanted him to find love and now he had and he wasn't gonna lose it.

The moment their lips broke he was hardly able to take in a swift breath before her words broke him. She proclaimed that she couldn't live without him. She voiced his own thoughts in her beautiful voice and it sent shrills through his body as he looked into her deep and never ending kind eyes.

Yet everything here was bitter sweet in this place. Even their unsoiled and perfect love was tainted by the Games. Ruined by the wrongness of the Capitol. Prism knew she was right and he too couldn't risk seeing her die. It would break him into thousands of unrecognizable pieces.

With a soft hand he placed it on her left cheek as he smiled weakly. "I know how you feel, I don't want to see you die either. I would break beyond repair. However I won't stay away from you. I won't die in front of you but whenever you are near I will protect you Dillon Hartman no matter what you say or do." Bringing his lips suddenly forward again he kissed her passionately as his heart shook.

As soon as Prism's hand delicately falls on the side of Dillon's face, she can't help but lean into his touch. He must understand her need to not witness him die, perhaps even feel the same way. And seconds later he's expressing just that, though he promises to protect her whenever he can. Why? Why must he send her heart into a whirlwind of desires? A plea she didn't hold until after that train ride with him, for both of them to be safely back in District Three. But that wasn't going to happen, and it killed her to no end.

There's a temptation to ask him not to. To not come to her aid, and risk watching her wither away. But she only takes to his lips again. Absorbing the words that nothing she says nor does will change his mind. Guess he's settled that. She wants something in return though, and she has a feeling he won't object.

The taste of weed on his breath alone is enough to get her high. At this moment there's no point in worrying about tomorrow, literally. She feels so guilty over her words of not wanting to witness him die, but she refuses to consider that any longer. He deserves so much more, and at this moment she wants to provide just that. "What if I act more like a hoe?" She teasingly questions with a wicked grin. The bottle is brought up for one more sip before she sets it down beside her. Fingers then curl around the back of his neck, to pull herself into a much better kiss.

"Sleep with me tonight Prism?" Dillon innocently offers, while her expression says it all. She worries over his answers, craving nothing more then having this last night with him. Hopefully he won't object. It's not like they have plenty of time to have this opportunity again, and that kills her. She needs his distraction, just as she has since departing from home.
