Abel MacLaren

The many colours of the camouflage station reminds me of the colours of home. The green of grass, the earthy brown of the trees, the light blue colours of the sky and clouds. It reminded me of all the memories I have of home, and the hope of getting back there. Back from all the opulence of the Captiol, to the life that I had accepted, and had lived with forever, and would be happy living there forever. And I wasn't the only person that was at the station. The boy next to me seemed vaguely familiar, and from the reaping, I think that he's from 11, the lowest district in the games. I turn to him, his arms and his mind in deep thought about how to cover up and camouflage himself against the specific thing he's meant to. "The Capitol's way different to home, ain't it? All th' buildin's and stuff." Looking around, the bare walls looked like a perfect canvas, a perfect thing to make a home from home. I laugh to myself, and then stop. I could make it more like home, with the paint lying in front'a me. "Do ya wan' to make it more home like, eh?" Picking up the green paint, I smile, and say, "I do the grass an' ya do the sky?" Waiting for a reply, I smile wider still. The life of a troublemaker never ends.

Just Don't Die

The day was just beginning to break as Kirito found himself entering the training center. All around him the usual sounds filled his ears with a subtle symphony. Each station played its own tunes as the center hummed with the master pieces of its occupants. In which Kirito was one as well, however he was not a master of steel or any combat in general. No, Kirito stayed to the shadows, he was a healer not a fighter. This he had known from the very beginning.

Off to the left Kirito made his way silently over to the camouflage station. Sure the station was boring and Kirito honestly never paid attention, it was better than being surrounded by the hordes of tributes at the weapon stations. That was until he found himself interrupted by yet another boy from the lower districts. Abel MacLaren District Ten. He could tell by the boy's obvious golden waves of hair. With a small laugh Kirito grabbed a bunch of paint. "Sure is," Kirito began, "I would love ta." Then he began painting the wall in for the color of the blue skies in the lower Districts all the while watching Abel's every movements.
