The train suddenly lurches to a halt, and I am flung from my comfortable seat, my jaw hits the seat in front of me and I groan. Why did I need to go and run into the stupid blood bath so I could brake my jaw? It hurts insanely now. I look outside the window, and I can't see anything. I wonder why? It was early morning and bright outside when I got on the train about an hour ago. I get up, massaging my jaw, but that doesn't help very much. I get my throwing axes ready to step off. I need to be because someone might be out there.

I guess it's time to put the bad lily face back on for the cameras. Or, who knows? Maybe there were cameras in here, filming my every movement. I grin and then think about something. I guess since it's time to let the bad lily out, I can do something fun. The Capitol wants a damn show, so I am going to give them one. I try not feel embarrassed about what I was thinking about doing, and step of the platform from the train. I step off, and for a moment I am stunned about what I am seeing, but then I get ready to do this. I breath in and out for a moment and let the bad lily do her thing because I want no part in this.

I, or bad lily, takes a deep breath and yells out so that any cameras around could pick up the sound. "So, capitol viewers, how are you doing today? You know, I really would appreciate some sponsors, so I guess I should give you a show for that." I quickly take off my clothes, or now the Bad Lily's clothes. I sigh inwardly as I go naked. Time for a show. I smile, hoping I am facing a camera, and then for extra fun, I go over and lick the tracks. I get up, spitting, what the fuck was I doing? Luckily the train was gone by then or my tongue might have been gone. I quickly get dressed again, and the bad lily lets me take control again, just as the embarrassment of what I had done had hit me. The train tracks tasted awful to. I then move forwards, letting my treachorous legs guide me towards the unknown mess I was about to go towards.

My heart is pounding as I walk towards the pile of scrap that looms above me. I guess it's a scrap heap or something like that. Maybe I will try to make a joke in this awful time to get more sponsors. From now on I will call it a scrap herp. I don't know why really, but I just think that having an r there instead of an a will make it funnier for some reason. Maybe I'm just being idiotic though as always. Like when I licked the train tracks naked, who would sponsor me for that? Plus the tracks could have had any number of germs on them, plus they tasted horrible enough already. I walk towards the scrap pile and touch a piece of junk that litters the outside of it. I guess this arena is just where they put all the metallic waste of the greedy capitol. To bad it's not a pile of food for me. That would have been really nice if it was just the food they throw away because I saw how Capitolites act with food, as if it grows on trees. Well, I suppose it does grow on trees but that's not the point.

I decide to make some use of the situation and I start to climb the scrap herp. I hit my jaw on the way up, and I moan quietly in pain. Stupid jaw for breaking. Maybe if I survive this stupid thing the Capitol will fix it for me. I heard they do that with other victors like if they lose an eye or something. I look upwards towards the top of the mound. I pant and gasp as I continue upwards towards the top. I reach the top, and pull myself upwards. I spend a minute panting and gasping as I look from the top, I can only see towards the end of the scrap herp and I know I should get down soon since it is unstable. I survay everything around and smile, no one else was here. "I am queen of the scrap herp!" I scream, spreading my arms out wide.

After a few minutes of resting at the top, I begin the even harder climb down. My arms aching from the tiredness of the climb. At least I might get some good muscle from this. One foot, handle, one foot, handle, one foot, and it continues like that for a while, but as I near the bottom, ten feet away from the ground, I slip, and fall, and catch myself just before I hit the ground. I am only about four feet eight inches tall, and I am now glad about that because I was about four inches away from getting smushed. I drop to the ground with a small oof. I then dust myself off, which was hard considering everything was dusty, and I start to explore a bit more.

The world is a dangerous place for a small bird, and it's even worse without a food source. Day in, day out, the Word searched the ground and flew up high to find something to eat, but it was only when the other creatures were introduced to his home that he stuck with the clouds, more afraid to touch the ground than he was when he took his first flight. Whenever his tired wings lowered him to the Earth, there was always something bigger and scarier lurking in the shadows, something unnatural with sharp metal jaws.

Even so, the bird could wait no longer. He needed food, he needed water, he needed rest..

He descended from the skies, landing at the edge of a large pile of things. Upon further examination, the bird determined that none of it was food (but only after he took a nasty peck at something that looked like a worm but wasn't, not at all, not even close) and he felt the kind of courage that only ever arises when one is close to death.

When he saw a beast out of the corner of his eye, he panicked.

And because he was hungry, and because he was dying, the bird did the only thing that made sense. He attacked to ward off the predator, clawing forward with his beak.

I was relaxing against the pile of scrap thrown away bye the capitol for no reason, when I heard a small noise. I could almost feel my ears perk up like one of the peacekeeper's dogs when it found something suspicious. My eyes opened automatically, was I going to die? I grip one of my axes carefully and narrow my eyes. "Who, who who's there?" I say nervously, trying to hide the fear in my voice and failing. What if it's Elya? The big bad wolf here to finish me off? I stiffen as the conversations comes flooding into my mind again. Her offering to kill me quickly.

I quickly noticed a bird then. I freaked out, it was terrifying. And then it lunged at me, and struck me across the forehead. I screamed in pain and the blood soaked into my eyes. What is it with everyone trying to attack my face? Then with rage I screamed angrilly, "Where are you, you stupid mutt!"

I wipe the blood out of my eyes and shriek when I see what I have done. I hadn't meant to, but I split the bird's skull wide open. I back away in terror of what I had done. Blood poured from the small bird, staining the ground a deep shade of red. I move over to the bird and lean down and whisper in it's ear, "I am sorry. I am so sorry." I start to cry, what have I done. I have destroyed this amazing creature? Me, the one from district eight who thought she couldn't hurt a fly. I cry, and cry some more. I lean over the creature and let my tears drip onto it's body. "Don't worry little bird. You will be honored." I take my axe and rip it open, cringing at the sight of even more blood. I remove the muscle, I can use that as meat for later. I then decide something else. "Every queen should have a crown." I whisper softly, "And this will be a most magnificent crown. Thank you little bird."

I started to slowly yank the feathers out, and I then fashion a beautiful crown in my eyes, and place it atop my head. I talk as if to an audience which I know there will be because of the cameras all around me. "My loyal subjects," I say as if they were all peasants, "Today I am queen of the scrap herp." I pause for a bit of affect, "Tomorrow, I am queen of the arena!" I place the crown on my head slowly, as if it was a real royal crown, and I smile.

Addition to the post:

I decide I should try to catch one. I have seen these birds used before to send messages, I might as well send one to Elya telling her I decline. After a few hours I manage to snag one. It was really hard, but I finally caught it. I take a look at it and I get ready to send my note.

To: The Big Bad Wolf/Elya Johnwayne of District 2,

Hello Elya. It's nice to see you again, or write to you, well, after what happened in the training center I wouldn't want to see you. No offense, wait, I do mean offense, sorry, wait, I'm not. I'm going to stop talking now, or writing. Here, let me get to the point. I decline your offer. I can tell you were trying to be nice, but honestly, you failed. If you don't remember the offer I made you, I will jog your memory. Remember that time in the training center when you came up to me and said if I find you I can ask for a quick death and you will give it me? I decline, wait, did I say that already? Ah nevermind. Anyways, have fun with your career pals, I know you guys killed a whole two people in the blood bath. Good luck!

I smile at my note, and hand it to the delivery word who looks at me like it wants something. "What?" I say, "Go along. The only food I have you don't want. Unless your a cannibal bird that is." It seems to roll it's eyes at me, before it's gone.1-4
