The Training Center was bustling with Tributes fighting to learn all the necessary skills to survive in the coming days. It had been a slow morning for Heather, but now that she was joining the ranks, she was eager to see what these stations had to over.

SIKE!

With an anguished groan, Heather slouched out of the elevator, dragging her feet behind her as she made he way across the floor. She was fairly positive she'd seen caterpillars crawl faster than her plodding pace allowed, but her typical day started out with a piping hot cup of coffee. Here, she hadn't stumbled upon that luxury, and instead was forced out of bed by her escort. When she spotted other Tributes, they were all alert and alive, actively engaging in the various stations and testing out their individual abilities. A whoosh as a spear was thrown at a target, a THUD and a Tribute fell to the ground. They were all gross. Each and every one of them was absolutely disgusting. Being this awake at the abhorrent hour of 10:30am was inappropriate and downright inhumane. With a tiny snarl, she trudged on.

Heather spotted a tiny blonde swirling around a sword at a hologram. The girl seemed far too petite to be sword fighting, but an air of determination escaped from her every swing. Heather realized she was smiling. She grabbed her face, trying to pull herself into a frown, but that just made her smile even bigger.


She'd always wanted a sister. This may have been the most inconvenient place to make one, but if Heather Olivia Tenley was going to die, she was going to have a sister.
