I.WAS.PROMISED.
The days had been closing in too quickly. Last night I had remembered a bottle of bronze liquid becoming my friend. A large boy, but then nothing. I awoke in my bed, as if all of it was just a dream. What I going mad? I was afraid of what was to come of me through these final days of terror. I had found no salvation, no friends. I was simply a walking corpse, and I would have to change that in some way. I didn't want to go home in a bed of death.
I begin to walk up stairs, I didn't know where they lead, but I continue walking. My mind races with so many thoughts that the coming days will entail. But it all comes to a halt ever so elegantly. The sounds of a creature unknown to me. It all pushed and pulled in a way that tugged at my very being.
I walk higher into the building, with every step I can hear it more clearly. My eyes begin to swell, it had sounded like a plea of want, but a plea of love. Everything that had been packaged within me was finally being unraveled. My face begins to stream with burning tears. I come to a stop at the very door the sounds seem to be coming from. My body shivers.
The door pressed open easily, almost silent. But on the other end I see a beautiful girl holding a carved piece of wood. This wood had strings and with each tug they sung out a sound of beauty. I stop myself behind her. "How are you creating something so, heavenly?" I ask, the want radiating from my eyes, tears still falling.
