Silence is... [Oneshot / Taurus Hawk]

Silence is best when nothing is said at all. There is no noise around me and with the happy reunion between my ally and the girl whose from his district, I'm more than glad to have a peace. Though, I can't help but notice how - unfriendly- the other guy seems. I wish to have Septys back. I want to be back with the rest of the ones that I've spent the last few days with, pining to have them watching my back again. They were always strong. They were the reason I was able to survive so long. It's almost like if I didn't go off searching for them, that I would be considered abandoning them. We have become a small, tight nit family in the last weeks since coming to the capitol. I kept Neptune from feeling Ruth's wrath once. We chased after him when he fled after the blood bath. Septys carried me out of the bloodbath. Ruth allowed us to use her skill of plants to heal. It's just one thing after another.

"We have to find Ruth and Septys, Neptune. They went after you..." I try to convince him in whispered tones, but all I get in return is 'no' and nothing more is said. Just silence.

Absolute - still - air.

I understand where I need to be going now. I know what I am destined to do. If I can't keep myself tied to my family back in my own district, then I'm not going to let that happen again here in the arena when death is so predestined to happen. I will not die alone and I will not die where I am not surrounded by the people that will do everthing in their power to keep one another safe. With a heavy heart, I slip away from the happy district partners and the guy from eleven.

"I'm coming Ruth.... Septys. I'll find you."

With a quick exit into the abyss of the arena, I'm forcing myself to take this road alone. Fate will push me in the right direction along this rocky beach. I know this is true. My heart is strumming along with each step. With each breath that enters my lungs, I can smell a fresh new start. I am stronger today then I was yesterday. Today, there was no bloodshed.

The sound of my shoes scraping across the sand becomes nothing more than white noise until I hear something new and I've realized that I've kicked something interesting. Flint...

Overjoyed at such a small token, my fingers grasp it and as if it's part of my heart, it gives me hope that I'll find what I'm truely looking for. For now, I keep my fingers wrapped around the inanimate object and trudge forward, hoping to seek out those who would seek me out as well. Thunder, I'm coming home.
