Stolen Kisses and Itchy Addictions (Mattio) Blitz

The cries for help still intertwine inside his head, stabbing pain and guilty into the person that was known as Minos. Blood, it was everywhere in the dreams, his hands, the body, on the woman, everywhere. It was the burden that he carried on his own. A burden that was heavier than anything else that he could ever get, including the Hunger Games. A burden heavier than the weight of the Hunger Games upon his shoulders. The dream was of the night everything in his life went and turned itself upside down.

Atticus’ voice rang to life in the silent halls, ”It’s hard…” Minos wanted to laugh at the words that came out of the victor’s mouth. A dirty joke on the tip of his tongue, wanting to let itself out into the public’s view. Except, he couldn’t. The look across Atticus’ face seemed to have a hint of sadness to it and Minos couldn’t imagine some of the terrors he’s been through. That Minos is going to go through. The depressed victor seemed to have his own problems and Minos felt it was his job to help the victor. Sadness to the one who wins the games. This was the future of one of the twenty four victors. A sad life full of nothing but luxury. Luxury doesn’t make a person happy. Happiness comes in only the form that a person chooses. Happiness was unattainable for him, but Atticus had a chance for happiness somewhere. Minos could feel it.

The depressing victor finished his sentence, ”Sleeping is hard to do when there’s plenty of people who may never have a nice rest again.” Atticus was right, it could be the last nice rest anyone could have in the entirety of their life. Twenty three lives would end, possibly his own, and these last few days would be their last good night of rest. Minos wanted to laugh, but the thought was something that had come across numerous of times in his head. Minos hadn’t had a good sleep since he was younger. Atticus continued. ”Might I ask you the same question?”

Minos sighed, no one asked why he was up, unless he gave a reasoning like, he was up for drugs or alcohol, like he was tonight, but something sparked in him. Minos was up to avoid reality and live the fantasy that he had. A smile forms on his face as he speaks, ”Nightmares of the past. Hot stuff, you need to stop worrying about us and more about yourself, you have a whole lifetime to live.” Minos pushes closer to Atticus and whispers in his ear softly, ”I only have a few days left, want to make them worth it?” His lips move to Atticus’ cheek and a light peck later, and the act is sealed with a kiss.
