 District 10 Female Tribute 73rd Hunger Games | Bailey Truus There is nothing to fear if you don't fear death. Marked cattle, that was all Bailey saw from her lonely post at the normally abandoned stamina station. Each and every tribute was just like the cattle Bailey butchered back in Ten. Their eyes wide with worry but their actions fueled fully by the fire of survival sending its flames licking up through their veins. Time after time again Bailey had struck down an animal wreathing for the chance to live just one second longer. They were always so pathetic, so desperate. Their fear of death clouded their mind making them vulnerable. Fear is a deadly weapon, and an even deadlier one when the aggressor isn't the one who has to apply it. Bailey couldn't help but wonder if there was anyone else like her who didn't fear what happens beyond their current phase. The sound of the trainer's voice questioning whether Bailey was actually going to train or not pulled her out of her thoughts. However her response was simple. She walked away to the next most deserted station. Which today seemed to be the sparring station where Bailey could only identify one other tribute. As she grew closer to the station she soon discovered the tribute to be the volunteer boy from District Nine. Although Bailey didn't know him well she could tell he wasn't all that bad when it came to fighting. In fact Bailey even decided to approach the sparring boy and wait for a moment where she could grab his attention. When that moment presented itself Bailey let out a calm sigh and took a step closer to him. "Hey, you seem alright for someone from the lower Districts. However I think you could do even better by including hitting some pressure points." |
