It was the first day of training, and Weaver wasn't excited about it, yet he promise Harbinger he'd find something he was good at. So when he stepped foot into the gym for the very first time, he found himself looking around wondering where he could go to avoid drawing attention to himself. He thought most would jump for the weapons because they were needed in a lot of fighting situations, but he wanted to learn more. Maybe he could learn how to hide himself from those trying to kill him. He chuckled. A massive beast trying to hide himself in the arena would be almost impossible, yet he wanted to find something to do. Even if for a moment. Something to distract him from everything else going on.

One step after another he hobbled towards the camouflage station keeping his head down and eyes locked on the floor. Harbinger wouldn't be happy because he wasn't tossing a weapon around, and Kate wouldn't be happy as he had no idea where his district partner was, but Weaver wanted some alone time. A chance to figure out who he truly was. It was impossible in the games though. Weaver knew he would die, but he couldn't escape from the reality dancing around him. He inhaled sharply drawing in as much oxygen as possible before exhaling slowly. Once in front of the station he stopped before picking up a paintbrush and a pencil wondering how those would help him survive.

I have always been enamoured by fine art. Anything from a painting of a bowl of golden fruit, ripe enough to burst right out the canvas, to the marble sculptures that marked the entrance of our grand Capitol house makes my heart ache at the sheer skill involved in generating such beauty. I've never denied the difference between static art and performance art, however - statues and portraits are impressive and fulfilling, but they pass like a season. My mother lived the art she produced, and generated it in every aspect of her life. Similarly, my own profession was an art, drawing emotion from people like poison from a wound. And now, sitting at the camouflage station with a paintbrush in my hand, I turn myself from a performer into sometthing static, and blend the two.

I've never been very good at keeping my mouth shut when it wasn't required of me, and here in the Training Centre being quiet will get me nowhere. I know the importance of making oneself known when the time is right - the quiet ones usually meet their fate first. Nevertheless, I appreciate balance, and don't try too hard to be dominant in public. My way has always been closed doors and hushed voices.

Weaver, the young District Eleven tribute, looks lost and tired as he settles next to me. Unlike some of the others, however, he seems comfortable here - not acting out in any way and not keeping his distance excessively, either. I wonder what secrets he holds in his eyes, and decide to pry. "Tell me about yourself, Weaver Rhodes."And perhaps afterwards I can return the favour,

A half smile twisted across his face as the world slowly moved around him. From across the training center, Weaver heard the sounds of trainers chatting together while nobody attended their stations. Part of him wondered why they chose the job they have, yet the other part didn't want to pursue any further as it was none of his business. All he knew right now was they were there to help the tributes learn how to fight along with other vital stations for survival. Camo wasn't one of the stations he wanted to work with, but his eyes met the different substances spread across the table. Bowls filled with berries. Just some things used to help hide in sight of other tributes without them knowing. Apparently it was a vital skill one needed to have.

"Tell me about yourself, Weaver Rhodes."

He was so caught up in trying to figure out what to do that he didn't notice the girl at the station with him. Weaver wanted time alone away from the rest of the world, but that was impossible. For whatever reason, this girl was prowling into his personal space, and he didn't like it very well. He took a quick step back away from the table, and he was about to turn around and walk away like he had done so many times before. But something stopped him. He wanted to know more. Why was she prying into his business?

Weaver wiped away every emotion, and his face became a blank canvas as he turned to face the girl beside him. "My name is Weaver Rhodes, and that is all you need to know." He stated plainly before turning away. It wasn't a therapy session. Weaver wasn't lying on a couch in front of a psychiatrist seeking answers about his life. "Oh I guess you can say that I'm a tribute too. In case you haven't noticed." She may be prying for information, but he wasn't giving any away. His plan was his own, and nobody needed to know. He flashed a toothy grin for a moment before raising an eyebrow. "And you are?"
