My hands are stiff and sore, my fingers are filled with little splinters from me anxiously breaking little leaves off trees. Tonight is the celebration on the victory tour. The mayor is just hosting a little dinner for Justice, a few important officials, and of course, the families of the lost tributes. I'm thinking about just staying home, feigning sickness because I feel as though if I need to look at Justice's pretty boy face I'm going to actually get sick.
My long legs dangle absentmindedly from the tree, my fingers twiddling with little twigs broken from the branch I perch precariously on. I heard the train rumble in this morning from the house I live in with my Step-DoucheDad and Mom. I can't wait until I've gotten enough money to move out of that despicable little house and move into something not full of Iris' crayon drawings on the wall from when she was little and would come over to play with me.
I can see the train station from where I sit, and my stomach feels sick. I was half considering hunting down the boy from One and killing him, slashing his back with a sword over and over again until he falls to the ground in a crumpled heap so that his canon can fire just like it should have back in the hell of an arena my angel of a cousin had to traverse.
My green eyes avert themselves from the train station, no. That isn't what Iris would have wanted. She would have wanted me to just ignore what happened and keep on living my life even though my lead heart tells me otherwise.
