After Pixie died, the Peacekeepers dragged me to a shrink. He kept asking if I'd always been angry. I guess I said the wrong thing because I ended up in the stocks for a day. I don't remember the words exactly, something along the lines of, "yeah, you dumb fuck, and if you aren't angry, you need to be." They - those entitled, rich Capitolite dicks - don't want us to be angry. They want us to be quiet and sad and resigned.

Well I'm not. I wasn't before they took my annoying little sister away, and I'm not now. So get over it.

Maybe I've become a little better at hiding it, at least in public. I have to for Viola. You know how good she's turning out? Always says 'please' and 'thank you' like her life depends on it. Probably does. She also got all the good looking genes, but she hates it when I say that. I always tell her, "have you seen this mug?" The day she turns eighteen is going to be the best and worst day of my life. I don't know how I'll say goodbye to her, but I am tired of shutting up when I should be yelling, of sitting down when I should be fighting. It's been almost three months since I've been in trouble at school. Don't let that impress you; I've lost almost every fist fight I've been in.
