Ninth Birthday Bash - Kickoff & Trading Card System

Welcome everyone to HGRPG's Ninth Birthday Bash! 

The Party Planners are SUPER excited to introduce you all to a brand new event system on HGRPG:

Tribute Trading Cards!

Collated by the Party Planner team and created by the extremely talented Elegant, we’ve put together trading cards for the Top 8 tributes of the past 9 games - 68th through 76th. These include a picture of the tributes FC as well as a quote from one of their posts, some fun stats, and their arena. All 72 cards will be distributed throughout the event and able to be collected by participating & winning birthday events. You can then exchange these for prizes at the end of the Birthday Bash.

Card designs will be revealed in the end-of-day roll posts - but here is a sneak preview so you guys get the drift!



Plus, we’ve got a special Glamour Kinkade Golden Card - but more on that later!

Wow, those are really pretty - but how do they work exactly?

Every time you enter an event you will go into a randomised lottery for a Tribute trading card, much like Trib Sweepstakes.

Let’s say that Ele, Zoe, Kari, Jess, Lance & Rave all partake in an event. That’s 6 people. We divvy up 6 trading cards for Day 1 and randomise who gets what card.

All 72 trading cards (all tribs + the golden Glamour card) will be dished out over the event days. If we have some left over, we’ll do a lottery for them on our wrap-up day so all have been distributed and all will be available for trading.

Yes, that’s right, the trading part! Of course, since they’re trading cards, you’ll be able to swap your collated cards with other members. And you’ll proooobably want to be trading these cards, as there’s a special way for you to earn prizes!

Omg how do I win things?!

Each trading card is worth $50 site cash - however, each combo of trading cards is worth one Concise Bio. A combo is made up of:

3 x District cards (eg. 3 x D4s)
3 x Place cards (eg. 3 x 6th Place)
3 x Game cards (eg. 3 x 75th Games)
3 x Tribs from one Writer (eg. 3 x Lalia Tribs)
3 x Kills (eg. 3 x 2 Kills)
3 x Place, including dupes (eg. 2 Shelby's, 1 Harbinger)

Please note: if you have used 3 cards for a combo redemption, you cannot then also use them to redeem 3 lots of $50 site cash. One or the other is permitted.

Cards will be tracked in THIS THREAD in the Notice Board. At the closing of each event day, a Party Planner will randomise for trading cards and add these to the user’s ‘bank’, very similar to the points system at Ratmas.

Golden trading cards (GM Glamour Kinkade) work as wildcards, and can be used to substitute a missing card. Eg: if I had 2x 7th places, and needed one more, I could use my golden card as my 3rd and last 7th place.)

All trading of cards MUST be approved by each member of the party. EG: If Ele was trading a card with Lance, both would need to post confirmation in the thread. Whoever posted first, the other needs to quote that post when confirming, for the Planners sakes. Once two cards have been traded there will be no take backs - the traded cards now belong to their respective owners.

No snaking or account-hacking will be tolerated when it comes to trading cards. That means no logging into accounts on behalf of someone else, no taking back a card once it’s been traded, etc. This is supposed to be a fun element of an enjoyable event and we will not excuse members trying to ruin the fun, be petty, etc. If you have concerns re: foul play, please privately DM a Party Planner.

Please note: this is a brand new system implemented by a small team of Staffers, and due to it’s youngevity there is, of course, cause for error or holes in how this system works. Please be understanding & patient with staff when it comes to implementing this system of trading cards. If you see an error in the system, please DM a Party Planner and we will sort out the issue. All Party Planners have pledged to make this system as fair and right as possible - as we want every member participating to enjoy our events.
