Its been silent since his death. Black has hung over each of our skins since they day he was first laid to rest with a frozen heart. Tears have fallen and mourning has been unending, a great family brought to their knees by grief. I knew Zagreus well, better than most cousins know one another. He always inspired me, made me want to be better than what I am. Yet since he's been gone such a sign has vanished and I've fully fallen into the flames of my follies. The New Moon no one can see since its covered in darkness.
I can't remember the first time I started using, maybe it was a year ago now. I think it surprises everyone that I can be hooked so young, surprises them when I pop pills or hold a joint up to my mouth. Its all because of connections though. When its what your best friend's family does it sticks to you, infects you. My family isn't bad, they aren't cruel, I truly have no reason other than desire and addiction for what I do. I love my family, but I love the high I get when I can escape from this reality as well.
