To coincide with the Let it Snow plot, today you will create the perfect outfit for your Capitol debut! Just put together something gorgeously glam, either on polyvore, or any other design site or program you'd like to use. I will even accept sketches (but another event later on may also ask you to sketch something coughhack so don't wear yourself out!). These outfits can be as elaborate or simple as you'd like.

Everyone who posts an outfit by Sunday 12/31/2017 at 9 a.m. PST will get a participation point. Kire and I will also confer and award 1st through 4th place of our favorite oufits, specifically for the Snow event.

You can submit up to one paragraph describing your outfit, if you'd like! The snow plot can provide more info or you're free to ping myself, shrimp or any coder, admin or Saph with questions. ^^ Hooray!

GABY'S FASHION SHOW

A tall girl with a sad look in her eyes grunts in frustration as her hands desperately search the wardrobe for a presentable dress or a nice piece of cloth. Nothing. Only the Reaping clothes. From the very beginning she has known that this journey is going to be a complete disaster. It hasn't even started, yet she is already experiencing her first moment of disappointment. She doesn't want anything fancy, just something cute. But the only flowery dress she had was sold two months ago - traded for food. Now she has to wear this horrendous outfit to every event, even the carnival... She puts on the blue Reaping skirt and a simple short-sleeved blouse and walks towards the door, where her father is already waiting. They walk to the train station together in silence. After giving her a firm hug, Nora's father hands her a small package.

"This is for you, baby bear. Have fun in the Capitol."

When he walks away, Nora opens the bag... Inside is a shabby plush elk mask with a note:

Since her majesty - the infamous cousin of mine, Eren Crockett, got an invitation to the Capitol as "one of the most promising Careers and a relative to one of the fallen tributes" (ew) our house has been a war zone. I can't escape that girl's mood and attitude anymore, and every single day she ruins me by making me help her pack. (More like help her move out). We spent a whole day yesterday choosing her first outfit. It was a success which probably enlarged her ego even more. Oh, yes, and she is also wearing sky-high heels again, because she can't afford to be shorter than an average ostrich.

Oh no, now she needs to choose a carnival dress... I must run and hide.

Alaric Elfers Snow White Tea Party Outfit

Alaric is from district one, as such he can afford a wide variety of expensive clothes for this event. I will describe the clothing items starting at the top left going right. First is his overcoat or suit jacket. It's a dark blue colour that is a little darker and a little less purple than lapis. As you can see, in the pocket there is a pocket square that is slightly lighter in colour. Under that he is wearing a white, long-sleeved button-up shirt. His pants for the event are blue slacks matching in colour to his jacket. Tucked into his jacket but on top of his undershirt is a black and blue tie. The silk tie has crossing stripes with a single white stripe. On the tie is a silver tie clip. The tie clip is high enough it is visible despite the jacket. It is made of pure silver except for its diamond decal. Continuing with the silver theme, he has a stainless silver watch visibly on his wrist. On the sleeves of his jacket are cufflinks made of silver, except for the lovely blue centerpiece. The last silver accessory he has is likely the most expensive piece to his outfit. It is the Elfer family ring. It has been passed down the family line for generations. Traditionally, his father wouldn't give it to him until his eighteenth birthday. However, he gave it to him just for this event. It's made out of silver and the gem is a sapphire. His shoes are a clean white colour to compliment his white undershirt. Easy looking to still, his black wallet will likely be sticking out his slacks back pocket. To be safe, he has a metal wallet chain attaching it to his pants. For this event, all of his clothes are custom tailored to fit him right. He picked white and blue to represent winter and because the blue brings out his striking blue eyes.

Alaric Elfers Dignitary Tour Outfit

Alaric is from district one, as such he can afford a wide variety of expensive clothes for this event. I will describe the clothing items starting at the top left going right. First is his overcoat or suit jacket. It's a lovely snow white. Under that he is wearing a black buttoned cardigan. Finally, you can barely see the white long-sleeved undershirt that is beneath both the jacket and the cardigan. His pants are white jeans that match the suit jacket. He used pants instead of slacks to remain a semi-formal appearance rather than formal. Again, to remain semi formal he also has a silk fashion scarf. The scarf is tucked into his cardigan, but does leave the white shirt somewhat visible. The pocket-square for this suit is black to match his other accessories while complementing the white jacket. White it itself isn't visible, his golden pocket watches chain can be seen connected to his pants. His parents wanted to project wealth so they made him bring both a watch and pocket watch. The pocket watches design includes a rose. On the wrists of his jacket are his cufflinks. These ones are also made of silver. The decal on them his black to compliment the jacket and pocket-square. Like on his other outfit, he is wearing his family ring. He had been instructed to wear it with every outfit during the event. His ankles are barely visible, but someone may notice his white socks. He is wearing white loafers with the outfit, they are different shoes than his white dress shoes because they are more semi-formal than formal. Around his waist is a black belt. The belt is black to draw attention to it as it contrasts his white pants and jacket. Finally, he has a different wallet you can see in his pocket this time. He's basically asking for it to be stolen by not having a wallet chain connected to it. He picked black and white to again give the impression of winter. The black was chosen because it is supposed to be an intimidating colour and he wants to project strength.
