Moving people, moving places; it's a strange feeling to follow in the footsteps of a dead sister. The prints are empty and fading but with every move I make, I feel more in touch with the dead than ever before. The walls, the floors--it's all draped with gold and silver, a symbol of riches and royalty but a harsh reminder that we live in conditions that do not even come close. I stand and I stare with the eyes of a dead girl, hoping to see a face, a memory in the madness.

Between the secrets and tongues held captives by the Capitol's brutes, there are girls and boys just like me. Chosen and taken to a city beyond compare to show a false sense of inclusiveness. We all know that we are a spectacle, like a bear being made to dance in a travelling circus but nobody seems to care.

I care.

And when I turn I meet with the eyes of a stranger who is far too familiar to ever be a stranger, but far too distant to ever be something more. Inhale for three and exhale for five; it's time to take my own advice.

"Hey there, killer."

But even my own control can't stop the poison from leaking to my tongue.

When Adelaide meant three fates and three gamemakers, had she seen the truth. Three bodies that come with his name and a group of koalas that were his. A frown fills his face as he lets his hand rest upon the slightly rough surface of the wall. Then eyes move to the side as he connects with a familiar face that he's never met, but the eyes give it away in seconds.

Only one person could hold a serious look like that, remembering the words of him breaking under the pressure of what he would have to deal with. The golden spear coated in her blood as the whisper of wanting to know more of who was Lux Pelotte. A gasp leaves his lips as he closes his eyes, taking a breath of air to steady himself. Fear washing over his skin like it had when he met Clementa for the first time.

"Hey there, killer."

He doesn't blame her for the poison the comes from her lips. A breath of air as he lets her words sink into his skin like Lux's still do. Nightmares of words that linger too long in his head. A moment of silence for all the things that he's broken over the past. Then he lets go, words coming from his lips.

"I prefer survivor."

A moment of fear blossoms to calmed words.

"For what it's worth, I can't get her out of mind. She's always there watching me, in my sleep, in public, in Six, right now. I am sorry, but even that will never be enough to her or you or even me."

I realise that I shouldn't blame him. Given the circumstances, we all would have fought to save ourselves over a stranger on the water, but there is something niggling at my heart that makes me angry and furious and all things in between. I see red when I look in the mirror and when I look at Teddy Ursa, I see blue. He's sorry and I feel like it is my responsibility to accept it.

Whether I'm going to or not hangs in the balance.

"She's my ghost too." I narrow my eyes. "But it's whatever. What goes around, comes around." And whilst he bathes in gold and glory today, life is a cyclic thing and soon enough, the bad deeds he carried out will be the reason he falls and breaks.

Narrowed eyes of a dead sister and living one following him to his inner conscious that screams for him to run and break down like the child that he still felt like he was. Lux Pelotte's words ring in his dreams, a reminder of the truth that he never did get to know who she had been, what she had suffered before, and what he was taking away from her. Another story with an abrupt end as pages are torn from her narrative by his golden blade. Words that ring out like a slap to the face come forth with truth that he already knew since Ansel Khiev and Serena Fennel's deaths.

"But it's whatever. What goes around, comes around."

There's the saying coming back to him like a resounding crash in his mind as he can remember the words falling from his lips on the train. The image of Serena Fennel's body collapsing from Ansel's blade. Cynthia Rose Delgado tearing Ansel Khiev to pieces with her weapon. The screams of his own mind as his own life is filled with a clouded loneliness that glides across his skin. Her words don't leave him like he wished that they would day after day.

We’ve both got blood on our hands, Teddy.

Crimson still coats his hands like it had the day they pulled him from the boat that drifted along the sea. There's always a fall that comes with the memories of the ocean breeze that still feels cool against his skin. There's always a tension in his mind when the room gets too warm like molten rock might pour into the room and melt his skin. A low hum comes from his throat as she speaks again.

"Karma will be your collapse, Teddy Ursa."

Narrows eyes and broken hearts surround him with a stinging that is dull and ever so present all the time. A heavy breath with fear lining his eyes as he grabs his own tie and gently,
messing with the pressure of it slightly. A sigh of air as he turns towards the Pelotte sister that lives that would join her sister in the nightmares. A ghost that was already forming as he lets words come forth.

"I've already started to, Pelotte."

Silence as he shuffles from one leg to the other. Eyes watching her with caution and anything that could ease the pain in his heart. There's nothing that will ease his chest, not even a Pelotte could fix the insistent heartbeat that thumps with fear in his chest.

"You don't know what it's like. No one truly does until their hands are coated with blood."

Arms crossed tightly over his chest as he holds back the tears welling up in his heart. Strong is how they had saw him long ago, but no one knew that before it all that he was just as his name was. A kind soul who wanted to help others.

"What did you come here to do? Hit me? Kick me? Scream at me? If so, then just get it over with."
