The Tug of War {Ollie, Odie, & Minnie // JB}

Realization collapses upon the truth of reality in a domino affect, like when a single village dog ignites a howl that uproars a carol of all the hounds on the block. They’re not allowed to take you, too! Too as in they took another. Too as in Bella… It’s a game of tug-a-war within Ollie’s thoughts, as she battles to not be overtaken by the vicious memories of a foster Sister. But she’s about the trail within the very prints that were sketched by Bella herself, with absolutely no security of what’s to come. And now the tiny Blonde most continue an embark on final farewells, unsure if she should struggle onward with an attempt at a strong exterior - or if she’s even capable of such.

Another two crawl into the company of her cage; a set of strays from the pound in which she’s adapted to claim as the closest of friends amongst her new siblings. A welcoming grin stutters upon Ollie’s lip in a greeting for them, before she automatically welcomes them both into a communal embrace. Odie, a fellow Blonde, who’s one of the few capable of keeping up with Ollie’s energy. And Minnie who always knows how to cheer someone up, and how to find the best hidden scraps of food. At some point a silent agreement was formed amongst the three, to continuously be at each other’s side whether it’s to eat, play, or nap. Unfortunately now it’s time for one to leave their tiny pack, to a place where the others are forbidden to join.

“Make sure no one finds my rock collection?” Is Ollie’s new top priority, as her mind forces her to believe she’s simply going on a short trip - determined to push away the consideration on the horrors about to arise. “And don’t let the bullies get to you guys, bite back as if I’m still there.” Advice coils from her, as though she had the most vicious bite within the house.
