Nothing seemed to add up here the way that he wanted it to add up.

Stitch dotted his eyes and crossed his T’s as much as he could, but nothing seemed normal.

It was all a test here, something that he would never get used to because his life was always a test.

Things he did and thought of were always scrutinized by his mother, even if he tried to reason with her, she never would budge, simply because her way was always the right way.

That was what he was told for eighteen years, but now he had a chance to do what he pleased.

He was free from the clutches of evil, and he felt amazing.

Sure, it would never be used to it because at the end of the day, he was going to have to fight for his life, but he knew that he could still find his own happiness while he was still alive.

Even if it was only for a night.

And so he decided to walk around the training center until he found something of worth.

Something that allowed him to express himself the way he wanted too.

It was a freeing thought, being able to be himself for once.

He could explore how much he cared about the world around him, or even wonder about how much he wanted to burn it all down.

Stitch was filled with rage that sometimes, he forgot about. Not because wanted too, but because he knew that it was always a passing feeling. But now that he was no longer in his mothers clutches, he had a chance to learn things about himself that he would never imagine while he was back in eight.

That didn’t mean that he was going to have a simple time here. To the contrary, he knew that he wouldn’t be able to live with himself if he decided to lock himself up and throw away the key.

His feelings were somewhat irrational at times, and while he tried his best to keep them to himself, each moment he spent here, he could feel them spilling over like boiling water.

Stitch Gabel was a loaded gun but no one could make him pull the trigger.

At least that is what he told himself.

And so he found his way to the first aid station, his eyes falling onto a needle and thread and he wondered how something like this could follow him all the way out here.

To a place that he never knew.

He looked at the stuffed animal that was in front of him. He could figure that the goal was the sew the wound up. And before the trainer could even say anything to him, Stitch worked his needle through the wound, weaving it in and out in record speed and pulling the wound closed. With a flick of his wrist, he double backed and started to stitch the wound from the other direction. He pulled on the string again and bit it with his teeth.

He looked up to see the trainer amazed at what he had done.

”I stitch clothes together back home in eight.” he said quickly, almost blushing with the amount of attention he got for a moment. ”Its not so different right?”

Stitch was quick on the response but slow on the dismount.

This was his chance to do something for himself.

For once.
