I hate my name.

It's not... subtle.

But I guess you could say my family has a sense of humor. I don't think I got that part. I like the quiet of sitting beneath the pier with a book, away from the loudness of our house.

I have a twin sister, Modest. Yes, that's also a dumb joke. She is... a lot. she'll scream at people on the street and do just about anything to get a rise from someone. It's hard to act like you don't know her when you have her face. She just doesn't stop. One time I caught her crying, like an infant, outside a stranger's house just hoping they'd catch her.

DO YOU SEE WHY I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS?

I just want to be normal, with an ordinary name. Like Lily, Lily is a very nice name. Lily could be from the Jones family, a fishing family that have lived by the beach for decades. She would be an only child. She'd be quiet, and adored by her teachers and classmates alike.

Instead, I walk around trying to fold in on myself because she's doing that again.

Call me prissy, call my stuck up but I just don't believe I was put on this earth to be a Mcdong. All of my siblings don't care what anyone thinks of them and they should. They should be ashamed and embarrassed of their behavior.

But they won't.

They'll just keep being..... McDongs.
