He is a warrior: silent and menacing. You may think you're safe, but that will be your downfall, for he is always watching-- waiting for his moment to strike. The warrior's eyes glow from the shadows of the room as they scope out his surrounding, preparing for battle, mindful of his years of training. He has to treat every battle like it's his last, or he'll grow soft, and it's the soft ones that lose their edge in a fight against a real opponent. And when the real battle comes... he will not lose-- he can't lose. Especially after everything he's sacraficed already. 

Spinel doesn't know when his current opponent will attack or when he will even arrive. He just knows that the fight will be one of his most difficult so far. He remembers how excited his parents had been--Zander Cheyanne had agreed to give him a lesson, after all--but can't help feeling a flash of bitterness towards them. Tonight is Friday, which is his only night off during the week. Then he reassures himself that they must have his best interests at heart. Zander has quite the reputation in One, and probably has a lot to teach him.

It's late, so the academy doors have closed for the night. But Spinel still hears the door creak open, which is followed by footsteps heading his way. Could it be time for his lesson to start? His fists clench and he takes a deep breath, preparing himself to meet Zander.
