In a Bit of a Pickle {Gin/Percival}

After putting his daughters, Mel and Ace, in charge of the furniture shop while he went to go on a little bit of a lunch break, Percival Durwood placed his hat on his head and strolled out of the place, all the while using his umbrella with the question-mark-shaped handle as a bit of a cane, as he always did. The man was in a rather good mood today, and it was likely to stay that way. The election was going smoothly, from what he could tell, with the crazies seeming to have stayed out of the running. No one wanted another Bryson Ripsaw in the position of mayor.

Then again, Percival was rather crazy himself. Perhaps that's why he didn't run for mayor. Maybe he should run for mayor sometime.

As these thoughts were running through Percival's head, however, his umbrella caught on a larger than normal rock, throwing off the man's balance and sending him crashing to the ground, his umbrella flying out of his grip and away from his reach.

"Ah, pickles!" he exclaimed, trying to get himself back to his feet. As he struggled, however, he couldn't quite get up and his knees started to buckle underneath him again, causing him to fall back to the ground. "Damn it." The man looked to his umbrella to see if he could reach it from where he was, and perhaps help himself back to his feet with it if so, but it was just a little too far out of reach. Closer to him, however, rather near to his field of vision, was a pair of shoes, of which had a human being wearing them.

"Do you mind helping me?" he asked the individual. Hopefully they knew he wanted help up, and not to touch his umbrella.
