She was tired. She felt awkward and stupid. Why did she even go outside today? Why did she ask people all those questions? They were annoyed, not happy to share their thoughts. She could see it. Maybe she should have stayed at home to make cookies with the girls. It would be so much more fun.
She started approaching another random person who seemed nicer than the people she had met before and almost turned back. This was pointless. A waste of time. But her legs carried her forward and forward and forward. Until she reached the person she had chosen and spoke:
"Excuse me? Do you have a moment?"
After hesitating a little, she added:
"I have a few questions regarding the mayoral elections and I would be very grateful if you could answer them".
