At one time they had simply been opponents, vying for the same spot at mayor. Now, however, Io was one of her supporters and a great source of knowledge. Working with and for her over the last five years had made her a better person, and a better candidate. The struggles she had had over her decision to get clean were a lot fewer now - practically non-existent. She had a future goal to work toward, something she couldn't ruin by going backward. She knocked on the door, hoping she hadn't arrived too early. Time was crucial right now. Everything required time, and always more than she felt she had to give. Still, she was more than willing to fight for what she wanted - she always had been. As the door opened she smiled at the woman who greeted her. "I hope I didn't interrupt anything. Are we able to have our talk?" |
