Every day of the life of Stefano and Domenico Sweets was an excruciating one for their precious daughter, Gabbana. The pair of old queens doted on her hand and foot, to which she often replied, “stop ruining my life, gay dads.” Silence followed, before Domenico, and then Stefano shortly after, began to laugh at their ‘oh so cynical daughter, their wonderful, sharp daughter.’ “Adopted daughter, hags. Anyway, I’m going shopping. Wallet.” By the time her hand was presented, the leather hit her skin. Her dads weren’t in the habit of denying anything their joy of life needed. And their joy of life wasn’t in the habit of caring an ounce about them.

Sure, they spoiled her, but they also were loud and extremely dramatic and abrasive and in-your-face at all hours. And sure, anything she asked for was given to her within a day’s time, but then they wanted to stay around and watch her use whatever they just purchased, as if she asked for their company. She never asked for their company. Why would she ask for their company?

Not to mention, they were super dicks to everyone else in the world. Why did they have to treat her so damn special when they hated everyone else? She wasn’t special; she was beyond. She didn’t deserve their attentiveness. But she did deserve their paychecks. So she stuck around, persisted through, well, rarely clenched teeth that usually parted to say whatever she felt regardless; but, even more, she persisted through their forced, overzealous giggle fits every time she as much as rolled her eyes.

Gabbana Sweets hated her dads, her gay ass dads, more than anything in the world. They may have forked over millions to pay for a private Career trainer, and they may have closed down their shop on the opening day of a big sale when she had chicken pox, and they may have ordered an ox from a lower district to replace her birthday pony she threw a fit over since it didn’t have horns, but they were the fakest people she’d ever known. She wasn’t like them. She was real. She wore her heart in a metal rod through her tongue.
