Further truth spills from the Blonde’s lips of uncertainty, as if desperate to relieve my questions from her tightened chest. It must have been a breeze for the interviewer to release the juicy information from her core. While still it’s often the enthusiasm of the delivery that draws in the audience far more than the truth of it, and this girl from One sounds to solely have the latter. Energy seems to be drained from her existence long before the killing’s even destined to begin, before the interview even took place, hell perhaps even before her name was called for this place. It appears that her family drained her life-force long ago, while now she merely blames it on her distaste for conflict.

Eyes widen slightly upon my features in disbelief, unable to grasp why anyone would accept mistreatment to avoid a dispute. Within the family of Stones, arguments spew between each and every one of us demonic offsprings - while we’d never dare to truly harm one another, physically nor mentally. Because with desperation, thievery, and illegal employment structuring our lives - we had more important tasks to complete than ruining each other. It had always been thrive together, or die alone. Some people have never faced such difficulties, never grew that second skin for thickness.

A rattle almost coaxes her voice as she wonders if I know of a place to go, that the stuffiness of people is too much for her. Gently I nod my head in respond, offering my hand to the one in need of assist. Our heels clack against the halls seemingly always cleaned to perfection. There’s no doubt my practice in heals reigns over most, while I slow without question or thought for her comfort and ease. And slowly but surely the overwhelming voices of the crowd begins to fade, until eventually nothing remains but the clack of those heels.

“Wow, this place is practically entirely different without the other Tributes.” Surprisingly I’m left in awe, as my voice echoes across the gymnasium that’s often far too packed to ever echo. A grin spreads across my cheeks, a sigh releasing past my lungs. “I was exploring the other day, and came across something…” When in truth I was just bored of training, and searching for a place to potentially make-out with another Tribute at some point - while instead something far more interesting caught my attention.

The closet is held open by my foot, while my hands search for a light amongst this blindness I’m not used to in the center of training. “Looks like some past Tributes left some carvings over the years.” I inform her off, hoping this’ll be a nice distraction from her troubles.
