The metal tang of blood fills her mouth. Eos had bit her tongue so hard that she bled. It pooled, but she managed to swallow.

Just as she managed to swallow her words.

She wanted to lash out, to yell harsh words back, but she knew better. She used to have a sharp tongue, but Calypso quickly trained her not too. They were useless, they helped no one.

Besides, words unsaid left a better mystery.

"Fayre's right for once. We just need to get out of here alive," her voice cracked on the last word. Most of them would make it out, but not all. She grimaced slightly as she let her eyes wander to Harper's crumpled body, but she quickly had to look away.

The gun fired, and she cursed under her breath as she missed by a few inches. She took aim and it soared past the bot again. Eos wanted to scream, but instead she took a deep breath and remembered Harper's words.

She needed to do this.

For Fayre.

Even for Elite.

Most importantly she needed to do this for the fallen. For Haper.
