It had been ages since she had taken the time to just sit down and try to relax. Time was money at this point, and she was never sure if she would make enough of it.

She had never been comfortable trying to figure her way through the world, but now she didn’t have a choice. Her father had passed away unexpectedly, and her mother had been left because she couldn’t deal with the grief of divorce.

Millie thought of her as a cruel witch, because she was raised to never use words like that, unless it was absolutely warranted.

She wasn’t doing it on her own luckily, a brother of her was always quick to help her out when he could. Bobbie was always busy but never busy enough to at least talk things through with Millie, it was always best for them to be on the same page anyway, less mistakes and more rewards.

Or something like that.

She wanted to be an artist, and even still, she took a little time for herself to just paint with whatever materials she could get her hands on.

Sometimes it was paints that she had stumbled across and swiped, maybe it was berries that she had bought with the last batch of work that she had sold, hell, she could have painted master pieces with her actual blood if she was desperate enough.

Sadly, she unfortunately was.
