The world is tainted and there is only one source to blame. Pollutants pumped into every available space; each inch destroyed as the seconds tick by. Battles of peace come in so many different forms.

A rebellion against authority.
A rebellion against the games.
A rebellion against rebellions…

…but where is the rebellion for nature?

A nature my mother has vowed to protect. We may fight for freedom in this world but is there really any point if there will be no world left at the end of the war? Just little steps accomplish big changes, most of my days are spent sweeping the streets of three of any evidence of a night spent poisoning guts with liquor and the dreaded disposal of human waste. The elders in my family try their best to be vigilantes, most criminals are to blame for the destruction of the Districts…arsonists…women on the night…

Nickels are earnt cleaning the factory buildings, but the real prize is cleaning the whole District.

It is my goal to wipe away every respiratory problem caused by the factories. To see the blue sky again up above the smoking chimneys. For any evidence of war to be wiped away for the generations to follow. The world is collapsing, and time is fading for the chance to pull it away from the edge. Me and my family have tied the rope, we just need more force to make the last pull. But minds are distracted by fear of the annual events and the days where food is nowhere to be seen on the plates.

It is hard to change the world when there are so many different battles to be won.
