His office door swings open, his delightful sister sauntering if before plopping herself down on one of the chair across from him. Crossing her legs she announces that she will be running for Mayor. Lips hook back into a grin, leaning back in his chair, he clasps his hands over his stomach. Mayor. What a wonderful idea, excitement surges through him, quickly followed by a wave of disappointment that he hadn't thought of it.

Why hadn't he?

He could be wearing a fucking crown by the end of the month! Sure it wouldn't be the crown of a victor, but it would be a crown no less.

“This district needs improvement desperately.”

Amen to that, sister, he thinks as he straightens up, climbing from his seat to shuffle through a cupboard in the corner of his room. Pushing aside his jealousy- for now- he pulls out a bottle of scotch and two glasses. Pouring a little into each glass he hands one to his sister, his lips pulled back into a grin of victory. "To the new Mayor of District Two!" Their first real step at heading towards royalty.

With matching grins he takes a sip, savouring the taste, the feel of the liquid in his mouth before swallowing. Taking back his seat he places the glass on the mahogany desk between them. Suddenly the features of O's face turn serious, her grin slipping from her lips, eyes intent meeting his own. “I’ll need your help for this, Victor." Victor had no doubt that she would need his help. And he couldn't stop the way he puffs out his chest slightly, a satisfied grin pulling back the corner of his lips.

"I have no doubt that you will," he confirms, pressing the lip of his glass back to his mouth before taking another, slow, sip.

She asks him to he her right hand man, her attack dog as such. Victor would be perfect for the role, his handsome looks, uncanny charm would disgust the beast that slumber within. The dangerous monster that lurked beneath the surface, ready to strike down anyone who tried to tear down his family.

But instead of accepting straight away, he pretends to think her offer over, hand stroking the stubble of his chin thoughtfully. "Of course I'll be your right hand man," he starts, once again sitting back. "I can think of no other candidate for the position. Who will tell Killian the bad news?"

Quietly he hoped that she would allow him to speak with their brother. He wanted to watch as his face was crushed with disappointment that O had picked himself over his nerdy brother. If only you hadn’t m sniffed to many books, you too could be parading around by the future of this district, he would tease. Or many be would mock the way his muscles lacked definition compared to his own. Or he simply just didn't have Victors inhumanly good looks.

Either way, he wanted to be the one to tell him. Raising his glass back to mouth he tips the remaining contents of his drink down his throat- and nearly chokes, “Killian will be working with me as well."

What?

Whaaaaat?!

Annoyance pulses through him as his fingers clench around the glass, he brings it back down. Roughly. "That nerd-"

“I need his brains, he can think of things I cannot.” She cuts off and Victor rolls his eyes.

"I need his brains," he mocks, his voice rising as he shrugs his shoulders like the fool his brother was. "I have brains!" he challenges as his eyes burn into Octavias.

“Stop acting like a child,” she hisses, slamming her glass down onto the desk. Victors perfectly shaped eyebrows raise at the mention. if she damages my desk, he thinks as his eyes dart to the dark wood, her attack dog might just turn rabid. He misses the rest of her attack, distracted by potential damage. Eyes blaze with fury when they meet, he holds her glare, mirroring it as he takes a stand.

“I need both of you to run this district." She starts moving towards the door. Victors eyes narrow, his lips pursing into a pout, but he does not argue with her, instead moves around to the front of his desk, muscular arms crossed against his chest. Maybe she was right in saying that she would need the both of them. Despite what Victor wanted to believe, his brother tended to be a lot less hot headed than himself. He was a master when it came to strategical plans of attack.

“Can you work with him?”

Pushing back his pride he manages a nod, before indicating that she should leave. She may be the Mayor, but she would not string him along like a puppet.
