87th Specific Rules: Environmental Damage and Resources

As in previous games, there will be overnight environmental damage. For this arena, this takes the form of radiation poisoning.

Each night, after overnight damage has been calculated, tributes will take 2 damage from the radiation that exists in the arena. This damage is different to previous environmental damages as it can not be healed by first aid or medicinal items.

Instead, there will be two items available to tributes to protect against the radiation, and only one item available to heal this damage. These items are not available for sponsorship. A list of these items and their functions is below.

Protective Items:
Radiation Pills (negates overnight damage for one night per pill)
Hazmat Suits or Gas Masks (reduces overnight damage by half for 4 nights) [from 2 down to 1] { cannot be stacked }

Radiation Healing Item:
Salve (heals for -2 radiation damage) [can heal other damage, but will heal radiation first]


Tributes will most likely experience side-effects of radiation poisoning.
For reference, possible symptoms include:

Nausea and vomiting
Diarrhea
Headache
Fever
Dizziness and disorientation
Weakness and fatigue
Hair loss
Bloody vomit and stools from internal bleeding
Infections
Low blood pressure
